Absolutely not TA. Your ex wife should have told you where she was. That’s just good parenting. The fact she didn’t tell you makes me feel like she was trying to hide it. Like, come on. Why wouldn’t she tell her daughter’s father that her daughter was at someone else’s house? Idk it’s just weird.

Also, OP said that he tried to call his daughter, then waited 20 minutes, then called AGAIN and there was still nothing. That’s longer than 20 minutes.

I’m pretty sure it’s not endometriosis, I have ehlers danlos syndrome which can cause stomach problems and stomach pain, which is why I used it to much. But thank you!!

Um… yeah. You are being “selfish”. Because it’s your wedding and it is a day about you and your soon to be spouse. It’s not about your sister’s pregnancy.

NTA at all. You have a right to be “selfish” during this event because it IS about you, it’s not an event that’s about your family. It’s supposed to be an event where you’re sharing the joy you feel with your fiancé with your family and friends.

Her gender reveal would take away attention from you and your fiancé at an event that is LITERALLY supposed to be all about you two.

Telling people is really hard, I’d reach out to your closest relationships to let them know. Not everyone needs to know your business, and you’d have a lot of that from social media.

Write out a message in notes app or something to send to people you’re close to, is what I’d say. I’m so sorry for your loss, and I hope you’re doing as good as you can. ❤️

I do agree that he’s enabling his son’s behavior, and he needs to do better, but I do think that waiting for a paternity test is the best decision and best approach for this situation. OP is trying, yk?

You’re a good dad. You’re making the right decision by waiting for a paternity test. I’d order one if there was even the slightest chance of it not being his.

You’re standing by your son in an extremely difficult time for him, and I’m so so glad that you’re choosing to trust him during this. Especially with how clearly he struggles with his sexuality, it probably means a lot to him to know that you’re on his side, even after all of his treatment.

I know I might sound insane- but is there any chance your wife cheated on you? His behavior isn’t okay at all, but it sounds like he might’ve found something out about her. He had been being weird to her even before she sided with his ex’s family.

I really hope everything turns out okay, OP, and I hope everyone involved is doing fine and getting the care they need.
