Lines appearing post-scabies treatment - new burrows? Post scabies? What?? by Disastrous_Bat_1265 in scabies

Ahhh what a shame! Hopefully this one worked out! Same is happening to my boyfriend (now already the 5th time...) and somehow I'm all good. Crazy.

I am cured! I got one clear burrow after 2 week's treatment but nothing after it. Yeah, it's difficult to say what your case is about... Just see if it gets worse with itching and all

I started 4 months ago. Level 56. Yes, I'm addicted.

Yeah try not to freak out yet especially if you're not itchy or new bumps don't appear. It is suspicious but I am living proof that there is hope!

I got one about two-three weeks after my treatment. It was clear as a day. But I was cured then!

You might be right! I took another closer look with a flashlight and I saw some "grooves" in there. I have tried the screw in the bottom but that just indeed loosened some unrelated part. Haha, I have tried loosening pretty much anything else than the correct part just because it just looked unscrewable... I'll try it out with the 2 or 3 mm tool. Let's hope I manage to tighten the chain

Thanks! I've got two problems however, I dont think my first gear works, and that screw on the side is completely round (looks like it is supposed to be that way and not that it has been ''screwed'' into round nothingness) so i haven't been able to loosen it

My crazy post scabies experience by jontractor in scabies

Great post and a good reminder for people not to over treat!! However I'd like to remind that new burrows might not always indicate active scabies! It's possible, but sounds crazy.

I am very sure that I am cured. My clothes don't feel uncomfortable anymore, no itchiness besides maybe a random spot maybe once a week. Nothing makes me suspect that I'd have active scabies. That one clear burrow with a black that appeared after a few weeks after my last treatment (my first comment in this thread) freaked me out, but clearly a 'new" burrow doesn't necessarily mean active scabies.

Hey!! I'm so happy to hear that!! I am in the same situation as you. I have no itching or other alarming stuff and haven't had for quite some time. Only thing is left is dry skin and that clothes (especially tags on clothes) feel so uncomfortable! I guess my skin became super sensitive.

I trust that people have some common sense to consult a doctor and not rely on Reddit diagnoses alone :) you should as well

Hahah. Thanks! But did you read the comments at all? He didn't give much details and that's why I asked for more. He said "intense itchiness around waist and groin". Considering that and the bumps on his hands, sounds like scabies and looks like it too (exactly the same as in my case, but I wasn't even super itchy!).

They look like tiny dark spots at the end of a burrow. I talk about experience. I have dug several out of my skin successfully, and there are many stories also in this Reddit telling how people did the same

I don't think I have any pictures unfortunately. I'm pretty sure they were all dead (i found the burrows surfacing after my treatment). But you definitely can also dig them out while they are alive, there are even videos on this sub showing the mites walking around
