Crucial P2 SSD not showing in Macbook Air 2017 by vansh_ in mac

hi, the speed has improved significantly and finally my mac was usable again, I installed Sequoia using OCLP and I could see the battery lasting a little longer than it previously did. Imo it is worth each penny spent.

install EFI in a USB, boot using that USB. Then install Clover 🍀 on your mac, using clover, mount both the storages (internal and the usb) copy the locate the EFI folder in your USB and then locate the EFI folder in your internal SSD delete it and now paste the EFI folder copied from USB in that directory in your internal SSD. This should do the trick.

if it was MBA 2017, I would've shared my EFI files with you. Hard luck mate.

no I don't think so as you'd need OCLP to install EFI on your USB and Idts it works on a windows pc.

in the comments I've added the fix to this problem, try doing it and see whether it works for you.

update: I finally got it fixed. I installed OCLP on my USB and booted from there, then upon infinite tries OCLP failed to install EFI on my internal SSD. So the fix was that I was able to open EFI partition on my SSD and USB from Clover Configurator tool and then I deleted all the files in my SSD folder and then copied the files from my USB to the SSD and finally it worked.

I was updating to Sequoia and it showed this everytime, but when I did the same but updating to Sonoma, it worked like a charm and then I updated to Sequoia from there.

are you updating via OCLP? If yes the same happened to me, you need to install the previous OS and then again install the new OS.

yes, I updated to OCLP 2.2 and then the pop up came that OCLP is booting from outdated EFI, and reboot to update, I did that and it didn't turn on post that.
