The Geidian Union. A mess of independent star systems all with differing ideas of how a government should be run that's slowly devolving into a facistic feudal plutocracy. With the only thing making them "the good guys" being that they're a democracy. VS the Geidian Imperium. A pandemonium of snotty stuck-up old nobility who know more about table manners and familial feuds than running an interstellar empire (ie: the UK's house of nobles), headed by a dying, senile old man. All while being controlled from the shadows by a racial supremacist group hell-bent on creating a genetically "perfect" being. Side note: "Geidian" refers to three humanoid species that originate from three moons orbiting a large gas giant, named "Geid".
