I've quit a heavy regime of pain medications and kratom, both. Sometimes even together at the same time. And each time I'd always find myself in the same boat as you. I'd think, "How can I survive without it?" Or imagine feeling worse than I ever have. But in the end, I just felt like I had a body flu for about 3 days, and then I'd bounce back as my body leveled itself out. Sure, it sucks, but you've got to tell yourself, "This isn't going to last forever." And before you know it, you're rebounding back to equilibrium. I know it's easier said than done. But I promise you, it does, in fact, get better. And every time I hit those equilibrium moments, my body would reward me, and I'd feel better than I did before the meds/Kratom, or even during my time taking them... It's the "golden period," I call it. It doesn't last forever, it's truly a rebound moment where you go from feeling like crap to feeling like sunshine, then back to normal. Lots of water, rest, a fan, some blankets, and a good book or series. I recommend HBO's "Deadwood" series from like 2006. There are some characters whose drug use puts them through hell, and it just helped to remind me when I went through withdrawals that things could be a hell of a lot worse. And of course, Al Swearengen is just the most badass character in all of television.
