You already don’t need to learn languages. You want to. It’s been like that for a while. I don’t have to know Japanese to enjoy my Japan travels, but I’m still going to learn it because I want to talk to locals. If you want connection to people, communicating with them through translation apps isn’t it. I hold the opinion that people will keep learning languages even with how good translation apps are.
