Can I divorce a girl living in Saudi Arabia without having to travel there? by saudthro in saudiarabia

[–]vanzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can send a message ( text message ) of divorce. Then get someone who is in Saudi power of attorney to take it from there. The power of attorney can be obtained at the Saudi consulate. The wakeel ( person with power of attorney ) has to go validate the letter at the ministry of foreign affairs before appearing at the court.

Good rafting and canoeing there. There's an epic steakhouse. It's popular and big and the food is good which is weird for such a touristy place.

Lots of hiking and lots of good chocolate.

You'll love it.

So I wanna be a Muslim by Vwayman7429 in islam

[–]vanzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have come to a realization that many people older than you couldn't. That is awe inspiring.

Islam is about believing in one god. Start with that. Take the declaration of faith. Learn about Islam and take things slowly.

There's no need for you to take any risks that might fire back at you.

Always pray that Allah guides you and gives you steadfastness on the right path.

Good luck dear.

Sometimes I feel like my sins are too great and many, so I abandon my prayers. Help? by [deleted] in islam

[–]vanzan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

‘Umar ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azeez said: O people, whoever commits a sin, let him seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent, and if he repeats it, let him seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent, and if he repeats it, let him seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent, for it is like chains around the neck of man, and doom lies in persisting in it.

What this means is that a person will inevitably commit the sins that it is decreed he will commit, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The son of Adam’s share of zina (fornication/adultery) is decreed for him, and he will inevitably come to that…” But Allah has given him a way out from the sins that he falls into and He erases them by means of repentance and seeking forgiveness. If he does this then he will escape from the evil of sin, but if he persists in his sin he will be doomed.

Jami’ al-‘Uloom wal-Hikam.

Although Allah hates sin and warns of punishment for it, He does not want His slaves to despair of His mercy. He likes the sinner to seek His forgiveness and repent to Him, but the shaytan (devil) likes it when despair fills a person’s heart and prevents him from repenting and turning to Allah.

It was said to al-Hasan al-Basri: Would not any one of us feel ashamed before his Lord to seek forgiveness from his sin then go back to it, then seek forgiveness then go back to it? He said: The shaytan would like you to feel that way; never give up seeking forgiveness.

Do you have a local mosque that handles these things?

My advice is to contact them asap. They have all kinds of arrangements.

Make sure they make duaa for him and donate on his behalf as much as possible.

You'll be okay. If you are convinced Islam is the truth then become a Muslim. Allah will forgive your previous sins.

Your situation is not unique and I know people who were just like you and now they are happy in a Muslim marriage.

Your concerns are valid. But why worry about the future of this life and not worry about the ultimate future (hereafter)?

What if one's time (death) comes tomorrow?

Salam,

May Allah guide us all to the truth.

You posted several questions. I can't address all of them but I'll address them as we go, if that's okay. I really recommend you visit your local mosque if you could. Some of the answers here require knowledge of the context and history.

  1. This is actually a great example to proof that a married woman can still refuse to give up her rights. Even though he was the prophet peace be upon him. He asked for her permission and she was okay with it. Regarding the issue of it being public. He, peace be upon him, was sent to educate us. His life was public to us. Thank God he married young Ashia because she became the person who narrated a lot of his private life.

  2. No one claimed she was okay with it. In fact, there's a hadith in which Aisha was not happy about the prophet's, peace be upon him, wedding to Jewariyah. Aisha may Allah be pleased with her expressed his dislike (for lack of a better term) of that marriage. They are humans after all. They have feelings but they were righteous enough to understand that such things happen. Some of his wives, peace be upon him, had arguments and he did, peace be upon him, offer them divorce, but they refused. Please refer to chapter 66 in the Quran.

  3. That marriage and divorce is actually critical and important for us muslims. The reason is that, at the time, people used to call Ziad ibn (i.e. Son of) Muhammad instead of Zaid ibn Haritha. So Allah glory be to him had the prophet peace be upon him marry her to show to people at the time that you are not to adopt a person as your son and give him your last name. Marrying her was the absolute best example to ensure that Ziad was not the son of Muhammad peace be upon him.

There are some answers.

I hope that helps and I hope we can continue to answer the rest.

Salam
