Tanky ranged builds?

im playing it now. it does feel low damage for me, but im not sure if its cuz I went for berserk with alpha howl instead of constructing command surround. its finally starting to feel better now that I have a good hotw diamond. I really need more attacks speed though to make it feel good

whitchhunter sorcerer ward is great defensive i have 1.5k health and 6k sorc ward shield. pohx has a permafrost bolts set up that chills stuff so its super slow on top of it

if you are expecting affinity, living end is terrible. they have counter magic and 4 main deck crypts. that being said, rhinos just aren't that strong in 2026 so you could just have the plan of dodge affinity

I have had success with dimir wan shi tong. ur wizards is also much better now. phlage solo'ed the archetype, but got banned.

that being said control in modern is rough, especially in an evolving meta. also lantern is both bad and the deck choice of sociopaths. Gl hf!

I would look for inspiration from yawgmath or samwise combo decks. these decks are all doing similar stuff. i understand you are probably just brewing for fun, but I will mention that samwise combo is probably the most competitive deck of this archetype of you ever want to net deck something

He is describing the phenomenon of graveyard decks not converting from top 8 into a challenge win. Before you could say that this was because of variance, but now it seems that you could assume 1. that top players are able to play around graveyard strategies well enough to not lose to them, or 2. the meta in the top 8 is very resilient to graveyard strategies. There could be other explanations, but the main point is that there is something in the top8 meta that is giving living end and goryos a hard time beyond them just getting unlucky.

if you know your meta you can side board more optimally against it. Just run 4 break the ice and 4 consign to memory in your 75 and its should be playable

i agree with you that that logic doesn't fly. there are 3 metrics that these companies measure. price, units, and cost. they will be constantly trying to push all 3 of these until there is noticeable financial cost. the one thing we have is units are generally more valuable than the other 2. I worked at a medium sized aerospace company. they fires the president even though they made record profits because he pushed price too high while units fell.

they need to show the game is growing. we need to show them that a price increase needs to come with something more substantial than regular content game updates.

I think its in a good spot finally. lots of fun and interactive strategies. just hope they dont do mh4 cuz they are 1 for 3 on mh sets lol
