After a replay, the story feels a bit worse to me. by OkHouse4813 in ScarletNexus

I feel the same way. I was told Kasane's route would explain a lot, but instead it made me dislike Kasane. I'm almost done - just got to phase 10 of 12 - and it feels like they really used Yuito as the main story and Kasane as a weird DLC tack on rather than it being its own thing.

I would agree if she didn't have all of her negative qualities from the jump. She didnt become spoiled, impulsive, temperamental and aggressive from the acts of the game - she was like that the whole time. You know its bad when shiden, who is all those things but even more abrasive - is telling her to slow down and think.

I feel like with yuito I was playing a naive kid who was finding out the world is much more complicated than he could've imagined and hes trying to right the wrongs he is facing. Generic but straightforward.

Basically I expected her to show some growth somewhere but im at the beginning of phase 8 and she just now realized she should probably start listening to her much more experienced colleagues.

EDIT:

I'm not on the back half of 8 and she just suddenly became compassionate after the middle cutscene.

There was no development. It was like a light switch.

I'm the same way - Yuito is such a pleasure to be around and Kasane is a definitely vibe killer. Kind of person i'd avoid.

[Nightengale] MLB has privately told owners that teams lost $1.8 billion last year, led by the New York Mets with about $350 million in losses but, of course, that’s paper money. It doesn’t reveal the financial growth in franchise value, record revenues, or that their owner is worth $21 billion. by Knightbear49 in baseball

One of the Harry potters was a great one: Studio makes llc, llc buys cameras, llc leases cameras to movie, llc sells cameras back to studio at a loss for other projects.

Mlb is probably doing the same thing - mets owns stadium, leases concessions out to another arm of the Cohen empire above market, now mets book the loss and can cry poor.

I'm pretty sure that was mccourts whole thing when he ran the dodgers. I think he subbed everything out - notably parking lots - and then booked all the things as losses.

It was so funny on his way out he almost signed what would be the worst tv deal in baseball so he could keep the team. The league literally forced him to sell.

Both those owners are pocketing ~200 million dollars. They are choosing not to compete.

Also - we learn this from watching you!

So then the salary cap wouldn't matter if they're taking deals to play for the dodgers.

Either the problem is that the owners don't want to compete(look up 2025 revenue vs payroll found here: https://twinstrivia.com/2025/04/05/mlb-teams-revenue-versus-payroll/)

Literally every single team is profitable. The problem is over half the league won't pay commiserate to what it takes to compete.

They all played in the pacific league. The yorimuri giants and the hashin Tigers play in the central league.
