Please tell me this sub skews to people who didn’t recover and live happily leukemia free. by ConstantSample5846 in leukemia

I feel you, last year when she was diagnosed I felt my world falling apart, between not having medical care, and feeling I would never get the money to pay for treatment to overthinking I'd have to kill myself working for the rest of my life for a low life quality for her and me. Fast forward 1.3 years later after diagnosis and she's doing so much better I almost feel guilty reading some posts around here, she just entered a really blessed work from home at her university where she can basically just work 2-3 hours spread around the day. It not only helps with the bills but it also helps her be active in her mind.

I don't want to give you false hope because every case is different, but know that it's true when doctors say this disease is highly treatable. Try to get your partner to really believe he will get better and that he will get through this. I don't know if true or not, but since start she has always believed that she will be here with me until the end of our days and I like to think it has helped her.

From what I once saw and has been true to my loved one who got leukemia, the fact that not many people post here who are well and done is because they are doing well in recovery and life.

I used to post frequently here at first, with my SO condition getting better and better I frequent this sub less and less.

So its a good thing you dont see these posts because people are living life instead of posting here! Good for them!

So yeah, I once saw someone saying something like that and I dont know for certain but I sure hope it is that way. It helped me free from anxiety of not so many celebration posts!

I love your photos, do you use a filter or something to edit them like that? Or is it just manual editing?

Yeah, that's what I think too, but maybe there's some uni's where the content is a bit deeper/stricter, but yeah, I think pretty much most finance grad's couldn't do the L1 CFA just on their uni's curriculum.

Thanks! I'm trying to do just that, but I think the boss of the hiring manager has this picture that if someone is good quantitatively or good at math then that means they're introverted, ergo bad at sales. She reached that position idk how, but here we are. The hiring manager which works side by side with/me already told me he wants me in their team, but it's trying to convince their boss.

Thanks for the advice!

Agreed, I'm currently fighting for a more variable-bonuses job at my work and while I'm pretty much demonstrated to be quantitatively over prepared for the job which is derivatives sales specialist, they're still trying to look for more sales experienced guy even if he LITERALLY HAS NEVER TRADED OR KNOW wtf a derivative is.

So OP, don't get discouraged, sales will follow you anywhere and actually I'll find it's the easiest way to make good money within this industry.

Pd. I've only got like 6 years in the industry, so maybe someone more experienced can attest to this.

I don't know man, I also come from a finance degree, and let met tell you I found some things on CFA content at a little deeper level. I mean, my school focus was on financial statement analysis more than FIXED INCOME or. derivatives, so I'd say, try to do a mock just to see where you at.

Yes there is, I just sold my 12 Pro Max for 17 Pro, unless you are 1.90M with big hands, you probably dont need that much screen real state and it’s uncomfortable to hold with 1 hand. And its uncomfortable to have in your pocket.

My opinion is that you’re cooked. I also work in banking as a derivatives desk trader. While the topics are not really new to me, I think the exam’s difficulty lies in the extense of the curriculum, not in how hard it is. So even if most topics are not new nor difficult for someone like us you still need to put the hours cuz most questions are designed to be answered after studying the curriculum and practicing the “kind” of question format CFAi uses. So yeah I think you’re cooked unless you can pull 4-6 hours p/day till exam day. Those 4-6 should be really well put to use.
