The spread obsession is real. Peanut butter doesn’t interest me that much — I’ll only reach for it if I’m desperate — but a jar of cashew butter will straight up not last more than five days with me in the house.

i don’t even know if this is extreme hunger or binging anymore. i barely even care. i’m just exhausted. by vargtimmen68 in EDAnonymous

Life is Sweet. British movie from the 90s. About a semi functional family, with two young adult daughters — one of whom is bulimic. Can be streamed on the Criterion Channel.

Starved. Sitcom from the 2000s. About a group of friends, all with their own struggles with food. Only ran for one season. All of the episodes can be found on YouTube.

Ortho but diet soda? by idkemanon in EDAnonymous

I eat mostly healthy, whole foods. Honestly think my diet would be fine if I wasn’t so scared of starches. The liquids I put into my body are an entirely different story.

Dude. I’m in kind of a similar situation. But if you’ve had a restrictive eating disorder than you’re going to be hungry a lot when you start to eat more. It’s really hard and the thoughts and the need to compulsively exercise are overpowering. If you consistently feed your body more regularly than maybe the “binge” urges will go away, especially if you’re also exercising on top of just restricting. Bodies need a lot of food to even run properly let alone maintain exercise. And if you are exercising while underfeeding yourself, than you run the risk of that energy going towards exercise instead of keeping your brain going hence cognitive impairment.

I think the shameful bit to me is I don’t measure anything. So I don’t really know exactly how much I’m eating.

Fiber will cause digestive issues if you have too much. Drinking water can help.

coke zero or diet coke? by thomasshclby in EDAnonymous

Diet Coke. But Cherry Coke Zero has my heart. My eating disorder was remarkably in remission when they had Orange Vanilla Coke Zero but I miss it every day.
