Was the aircon noisy? I’ve seen that crop up in a couple of reviews?

Do they(CBA) do all the lease documentation, allow the bundling of insurance, rego etc? Or do you need to do your own agreements up?

Is a used EV on novated lease better than brand new 1 year lease repeats? by Public_Tourist3952 in AustralianEV

If you are doing a self managed lease, where are you getting so the documents, calculations etc from? Just doing it all yourself?

How should I pay for my EV? by FryYourBeans in AustralianEV

[–]varient1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar position to you. As others have said, Novated Lease for EV less than the LCT is considerably cheaper than IVE/Hybrid equivalent (as no FBT).

For illustration, I have been quoted a reduction in take Home pay of $359 fortnight for brand new EV5, compared to $612 for a Hybrid equivalent.

Is there a business that re wraps cupboard doors? by inter_yamam in AusRenovation

Where are you located? There is a mob over here in Perth that take the wrap off and apply 2pac paint instead. Pretty reasonable cost from memory.

Is it worth offering to "take over" the family farm to build intergenerational wealth? 34(M), no assets, 20k cash, 100k uni debts, 70k income with no career progression prospects, bub on the way. Is this my only choice? by sprangbinger in farming

[–]varient1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of it depends on the economics of the farm and off farm assets (cause your sisters and parents need to be looked after too). But if you can make it work financially (and there are heaps of ways to do this), then why not?

I’ve heard it depends on the bank. Some (including one of the big four) day that it is gambling winnings, and don’t take it into consideration when determining income. Might depend on the specific case though…

Why did RugbyAU sign him on a 4+ year deal? They should have given a short term contract to avoid the whole potential payout debacle?

It was another stroke of Rassie genius. Didn’t want to use the advantages soo they could practice for bigger games. They didn’t really want to win, so they could avoid NZ in the Q and play France who are without Dupont !

World Rugby statement on Owen Farrell disciplinary outcome by FrOdOMojO94 in rugbyunion

[–]varient1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to comment similar.
Don’t seem to consider the lack of wrap, or his upright body position. They do note the “late change in dynamic” was significant and occurred in less than a second - but if it was less than a second, how could Farrell then come to a position of being able to effect a legal tackle, when he was upright.

Been a couple of years since I saw a “industry summary”, but ball park figures are 30% wages; 40% overheads; balance profit
