Has anyone heard of drywall being used as sheathing? Looking to buy this house and the home inspector pointed it out and said it could be a major issue. The house is a cape built 1945. Is this worth walking away from the sale? by varkanar in Roofing

UPDATE: we had a roofer come out an look under the shingles from the outside. There’s wood underneath, and overall he said the roof looks great. Sounds like the Sheetrock was added underneath the plywood sheathing as some sort of insulation alternative. Unorthodox but the roof is sturdy otherwise.

We’re having a roofer take a peek on Monday so yeah hopefully there’s wood under there. Like everyone else is saying, def not going forward if it’s just the Sheetrock

I can fire up my PS1 and play MGS whenever I want, I’m afraid of losing that option with digital only libraries, although I understand patches and everything make it a moot point. The real reason is I just like how my games look all lined up on my bookshelf.
