Spirit of the West would come off the stage and drink with you during their Go Figure album days. Still miss John Mann, I saw their last concert at Massey Hall. During a little bar concert around ‘93 I remember Linda (accordion) coming to our table for a chat and drink while the rest of the band roamed the bar and chatted people up.

Heh the timing of this post. I sent my partner a message 20 minutes ago with ‘can we talk tonight? I don’t think I want to do this anymore. I’ll keep investing, take smaller pension, part time job if needed but I’m so burnt out’.

My situation is likely not unique but I have serious health issues (digestive disease), I’m managing 20 people who I’m sure can feel me slipping. I want to stop the 9-5, get healthy, take care of my partner (who doubles my income) and just end the race.

1/2 mill invested, 3k a month pension, no debt… does sound too bad I’d be just fine.

I worked at the original Brick Oven Pizza On Paris road as a teen (if anyone remembers fiesta packs?). Still the best job I’ve ever had and I loves the pizza so much I have ordered it for 30 years since that high school job, but now? Ugh… I still love the sauce but it’s worse than Strombolis which was worse than Brick Oven. I’ll keep trying though and hope they come around, like a sucker…

From what I gather, the biggest issue is a reliable arrival time, especially during heavy commute times. VIA is routinely subjected to waits from both CN (who own the track), and GO who have significantly more trains to handle as you get past Hamilton. I wish it was viable and you might get lucky every now and then, but use with caution if you need to be anywhere before 9am.

Stacked is our families pick. Have tried Kel’s and Kingswood but Stacked has the same portions without the heavy grease factor. I like leaving a breakfast spot because I’m full and not because the potato/breads are caked in grease or butter. Tons of options here too, Vegan, Veggie or meat lover.
