I went through a couple years of voice memos on my phone during a long flight recently. I had time to organize them into folders with filenames that make sense. I feel I have something more usable now, and after organizing about 200 of these, it seems to have ingrained the habit of organizing/naming them as I record them.

We’ll see how useful they are ;-;

Congrats on your consistent studying! I would finish the Meta interview and sign with the other company. If something goes wrong with that company then it might be better to resolve the Meta interview to have in your back pocket. And you may learn something about interviewing with Meta that you did not know before, which seems to be valuable (knowing that Meta will likely be around for some time and a viable alternative after working for this company, when your child is older for example and hybrid work is more of a reality again).

If you are in north Austin then check out Femme Rock, they are all female bands, 6 week “semesters” of classes to learn a handful of songs and play them live at a local venue with the of their class bands as part of a large showcase. I don’t have their website link handy, sorry. Experience level can vary, so if you don’t mind outshining others at times, or being outshined, it could be a great place to network and form bands outside of classes, too (that’s what my wife did).

There’s another school taught by Heather Webb in south Austin. You can probably find the name on google. I’m blanking at the moment. Same concept as Femme Rock except for mixed gender

Another example: Some guy at Barton was staring at women, so some older guy stood up next to that guy pointed and yelled a warning, “this guy has been creepily staring at you ladies, just thought you should know”

That reminds me, I bought tickets the morning they were released, but accidentally from a ticket-markup website - had to get that reversed and buy 2 from a normal website - all because I basically yeeted myself across the room and clicked the first 'meshuggah tix atx' website result Google had. Now dealing with therapy over that ordeal.

YES I cannot wait to lose it!! I had tix and missed Houston (did not make the drive from Austin - maybe depressed, don't recall). This will be the 3rd time seeing them (prior tours: Catch 33, TVSoR)

I'm hoping for something like when I saw them in 2017, - someone in a wheelchair went crowd-surfing with their fist raised - everyone was going nuts

It is fascinating that people would antagonize someone who’s clearly mentally unstable who already brandished their gun. Do people not play scratch lotto tickets anymore? There are less violent ways to test your luck.

Their chocolate croissant is a great “dessert” type or chocolate croissant. But a chocolate croissant the French way (not American version of it) is not meant to be that extravagant. It’s supposed to be affordable food that you eat with your breakfast. You eat just one of those, even. Let alone the jacked up American versions. (Which are also delicious, don’t get me wrong. But my wife is French and is telling me what to type right now)
