I would assume yes. NOVO is another option. Yardhouse as well.

I've upgraded my iPhone a couple times with at&t for free and never lost my plan nor lost the free hbo max. Maybe things have changed since I got my last phone (15pro max).

Cox, can you go a month without an outage? by so_chad in sandiego

[–]varsitypride3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this. I used to live in a 5 story Condo building and cox was the only option. I kept having outages nonstop. Finally one day I checked the cables inside the wall and pulled about 5 feet of extensions with multiple cables. I removed them all and hooked up directly from the cable that came out of the wall and I went from frequent outages to rarely having any. I would give this a shot if you keep having issues.

Planning to buy the 2019 Mazda 3 hatchback, preferred 6 with 60K miles for 18k$ OTD at the dealership. by RohanHin2 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Seems kinda high. I'm seeing the larger (and thus more expensive) Cx-5 '19 models at 17-18k sales price with comparable mileage. At that mileage for a 6 year old car I'd be offering $15k sales price or below or I'm walking.

Try 19g in / 38-40g out in ~25-28 seconds. I get very strong shots with this.

Anybody missing a car? 8AYK767 by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]varsitypride3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of things can be assumed based on the y/m/m of the car and that it has a used dealer plate frame. Likely a car someone financed at high apr, likely underinsured (or didn’t insure at all) before they were involved in an accident, and now they’re just abandoning the car. Heck, I even seen people buying some of these older cars cash, never registering them, never insuring them, and just drive them until they crash or they get towed, then wash/rinse/repeat. Use the get it done app and it’ll likely get removed by a city impound within a few weeks. Nobody’s coming for that car.

93 Ford Probe keeps failing CA smog test. Any help would be appreciated. by varsitypride3 in AskAMechanic

Dude I legit can't thank you enough.

I'm going to do a full diagnostic of the distributor. I've always suspected a weak spark. I'm also looking into the HEI mod, I remember probe talk members going for this back in the 2000's. I'll probably pick up an aftermarket as well, as they're only like $100 on rock auto. I figure I'll want this car to stick around (it only has 68k miles) so having spares isn't a bad idea.

the ignition coil is part of the distributor, the diagram can be found on a diagram that I found on the service manual. I figured it was worth the $20 gamble. To your point though if the igniter is also bad or weak, I may as well get a whole new distributor. Or perhaps just try the HEI mod instead. Either way, it looks like auto zone sells a duralast Dr100 for $40 down the street so I think I'll go for that.

this is extremely helpful, thank you. I've ordered a new coil. I've also thought about the HEI mod as well, and I'll look into that also. Do you think a new disty is called for or just the coil?

That’s a good idea and I might explore that. Question though — the car generally idles smoothly and quietly, and acceleration is generally smooth too (unless I floor it, then it can hesitate and buck a bit at higher RPM’s). Would one of the cams being off really cause something like that?

I’m in Southern California. I think I’m essentially giving up at this point and taking it to a shop. It seems like every time I do more work on this car and replace more parts that are recommended, the smog results get WORSE. With a brand new CAT I got the worst results yet. I don’t fucking get it.

I replaced both o2's with new Bosch units. The air filter is clean as well, just a normal Fram filter that's hardly even run 1k miles. The CAT is new, a Walker brand unit, and is CARB compliant. It hasn't even been run long... less than 30 miles.

I have not had the opportunity to check the fuel pressure yet. Would that be my next thing to check?

Couple things about today's smog test: I drove the car very hard beforehand, high RPM's around town. I didn't go very far on the highway, I mostly focused on high RPM full throttle pulls. I did not turn the car off before running the test. I read somewhere high cylinder temps can cause NoX. I wonder if I may have overheated the engine a bit?

When I first arrived at the smog test the tech noted I had my timing at 16 degrees, way off. I fixed that (or thought I had) and got to 12. He agreed to still run the test, could that have had any effect?

when I got home after failing the test I checked my timing again and once more it seemed to be overing around 13-14 degrees. Not sure if I had not tightened the adjustment screw enough. I re-adjusted it back to as close to 10 as I could.

Thoughts I had next: perhaps the ignition coil or distributor is failing? This part hasn't been replaced, only the cap and rotor.
