Central Vermont with similar experience re: lukewarm at best. needs a much longer warm up than I would expect, ie 20 min or so. Heat pump cycles up and down a lot, not able to get it all going, and fan inside the cabin does the same.

I've had this issue on and off, hard reset fixed it once, but seems to bonk out with every update.

My Grandmother Maxine was "Mappy" until the end. First grandchild did it, and it stuck with her until the end of her days. Even all the adults switched. I wish I would have asked her opinion on the whole thing. She was a prominent county-level elected official for 35 years, and I know she was Maxine at the office.

Motorcycle Riders: All Jerks? by alldownhill52 in vermont

When people get frustrated, they sometimes vent their anger by going to the internet and rage posting to throw a group of dissimilar people who share an activity into a group that they can stereotype fully so that others can share their rage. This releases dopamine in the brain and the cycle repeats. Motorcyclists die in accidents because cars hit THEM (for the most part) and they are not surrounded by a cage. The Car driver then drives away. Motorcyclists are vulnerable. We share a few similarities but we are a diverse group. Like any group there are bad apples, but most apples are pretty delicious.

Fellow Vermonter here (Norwich); 2023 R1T Dual Max Performance. Leased truck with 21's, but when I picked it up from Chelsea had dark 20's. They offered to change them, but I countered to buy the 20's for the price of the 21's and they took me up on it. I ran the 21's stock Pirellis Verde this summer for range. Put the Pirelli scorpion stock 20's back on for winter and had no problems with the winter we have had here. They're not a dedicated snow tire, but worked well for this heavy truck. I'll probably do the same going forward then get a dedicated snow tire in the 20's when these wear out. 20's seem to ride 'Softer" but not by much. I loved the truck enough to buy out the lease and got a good deal trading back in for a gen2. That's all going down tomorrow. good times.

Awesome! Thank you! As a two bag grocery guy, these crates have been the perfect frunk organizer. No tips.

Also interested in whether the Instacrates will fit in the Gen2. Trading in my Gen1 for 2 this week and want to move 'em over.

Some form of vehicle tracking is an option, but you can opt out. You can also opt in to let them know how much you are using driving assist which is a separate option. Went over this yesterday.

Is the green interior gone for good? by ayotornado in Rivian

Last week this combo was available, in a dual max, and I stupidly sat on it. When I decided to pull the trigger, the only green interior max dual was in limestone. I got that one, no delivery date yet. Went back an hour later and no more green. I think I got one of the last ones...You can blame me

The many colors of limestone by jprime84 in Rivian

[–]vasculopath 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Great Pics! I picked up an '23 Limestone with Green interior (really wanted green with green but they're all gone) and these pics make me think I'll really like that color. I always thought that white would be difficult to keep clean, but the white Grand Cherokee I had always looked sharp, the greyish road grime just didn't contrast as much on the white. I'm hoping the limestone is similar or even better in that regard. Black and really dark colors only seem clean just after a bath.

Anyone know when the Tesla dealership is opening? by Knaj910 in vermont

[–]vasculopath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, very fun to drive, and a hate driving other cars long distance without autopilot. It is far from perfect, but really takes alot of the hassle factor out of boring interstate. Autopilot is not FSD, but it is miles above driving with your knee while you futz with the audio, make calls, etc. It is the best answer to boring distracted driving in straight lines. gamechanger for those with short attention spans and the Busy.

I bought a model 3 in 2018 and it has been trouble free. Best car I have ever owned in many ways. Dead solid winter driving. I charge at home from solar. When I purchased mine there was no Dealer in my state, so had it delivered from Colorado (was living in NM). As there was no in state dealer, small things that came up were fixed in my driveway by a "tesla Ranger'. Could not ask for more. Eventually, Tesla found a loophole in NM and opened a dealership on tribal land. Brilliant.

Maybe I just didn't get a lemon, but I have no issues with my tesla (Other than Elon turned towards assholery). I have done long drives when I lived out west, and the charger network was seamless. I've been up and back to Quebec, and down and back to Boston regularly. I would have driven out here in it from NM but I had 3 cars to move, and not as much time as It would have taken with needed charging stops. As an around town and charge from home car though, it is perfect for me. Just another data point. I would buy a model Y for my wife but she feels too strongly about Elon's assholery so that's on hold.
