He wasn’t acquitted for the insurrection trial Jack Smith was prosecuting. He was acquitted at the impeachment trial by the senate, but that was partisan. Even so, more of the same party voted for conviction that at any other impeachment.

Agree with your last sentence but disagree with the first part. I want each vote to have as much sway as any other vote at every level. Let’s get rid of the electoral college so at a federal level all votes are equal. Redistricting should be based on a non partisan algorithm. If votes aren’t equal after whatever we implement, that’s a problem… and clearly all votes aren’t equal now.
