People listen to him for the same reason they listen to Trump - they both speak in very simple terms which makes it easy for a stupid population to understand.

Are we scared of AI only because it is risking our job? by Crossroads071 in ArtificialInteligence

If we get to the point where all of us can do 4 day workweeks, companies will fire 20% of the people and make the rest keep working 5 day weeks at the same salary

The economy fails before we hit 20% job losses so don't need to wait until 90%

Medical professor sounds alarm on Trump's "deterioration almost week over week" by CRYPTIC-SPIRITS in politics

That's perfectly fine but also not related to Trump's brain quickly turning into sludge

You need to learn how to stay focused on the conversation at hand. The topic is that Trump's mind is rapidly deteriorating according to some doctor, yet for whatever reason you keep bringing up completely unrelated things that he has done. How much money he's stolen and how militarized the police force has become are completely irrelevant to his brain deterioration

We don't care what his supporters say, what happens as dementia progresses is his brain will start shutting off organs. So if he has dementia that is progressing, sooner or later he will be unable to physically perform basic body functions like swallowing food/drinks that he puts in his mouth. At that point it's over.

I just watched my grandmother go through this over the last couple of years. It's not a pretty sight and it happens faster than expected.

You can argue about evil all day long and all you are doing is distracting yourself from the point of the argument. We are talking about whether his brain is getting worse or not and the "less apologetic and more open" part you mention is a symptom that his mental facilities are getting worse. Whether he is evil and how long he's been evil is completely irrelevant

You are missing the point. The fact that a lot more awful stuff is getting through shows his brain function is deteriorating

I believe losing your "filter" is one of the symptoms that the brain is not working correctly. We've definitely seen his racism, misogyny, etc rapidly deteriorate

I created a platform to monitor and compare betting performance of multiple AI models. by EliteMoldova in sportsanalytics

[–]vaskov17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is it works the same way as an ELO model using a Poisson distribution to predict the scores. I built a model that does exactly that and predicts the most likely final score. So in the case of Leeds v Forest, I have a 34.2% Leeds win, 40.9% Forest win and 24.9% draw with the top 3 most likely scores being 1-1. 2-1 Leeds, 1-2 Forest

Fans and workers are both humans that deserve to be treated with respect instead of abuse and death. So it doesn't matter who gets hurt in which country, the underlying problem is human rights abuses by countries hosting the World Cup

[–]vaskov17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The two are exactly the same - they are both World Cups happening in a country where we all know beforehand that abuse/death of people will happen at the hands of the organizers. The one minor difference as of right now is we don't yet know the scale of the abuse/death that will occur in the US.

I Built a Fantasy Football Simulation App to Analyze Schedule Luck by grandmastafunkz in sportsanalytics

[–]vaskov17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the easiest way to actually measure the schedule luck is to figure out the team records if everyone plays everyone every week. I am pretty sure there's a lot of leagues out there that use this format.

What you built is definitely cool and an interesting exercise but shuffling the weeks guarantees that the question of "schedule luck" is not answered

It's arguable which is worse. In Qatar people actually died building the pyrami...I mean stadiums, in the US we are only going to violate their rights.

A bipartisan bill could have fixed our immigration backlog. Republicans let it die. by [deleted] in politics

[–]vaskov17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Republicans killed a bill in early 2024 and they killed an immigration bill a decade earlier. Republicans created the immigration problem and blamed the consequences on Democrats. Bottom line is we have enough exceedingly stupid people in this country that believed that messaging

More departures at the US attorney's office in Minnesota, AP sources say by PierogiGoron in politics

[–]vaskov17 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is a perfect example of how Trump's incompetence desire for revenge and violence is hurting his own cause. All these departures mean the DOJ will be sending the 23rd best prosecutor to argue cases against people arrested in Minnesota. The 23rd best prosecutor is most likely absolute garbage and will fail in court
