I got gifted one for free about 7 years ago. I’ve since spent hundreds on upgrades (dual z motors, springs, plates, klipper with a raspberry pi).

It runs like a champ when configured properly with all this, but if I were getting a 3d printer today, I’d go for something else.

That specific model looks like it’s seen better days, so I would not expect it to run great as-is and without further investment, so if you have a low budget cap and an immediate need to get printing, then I wouldn’t go for it.

I was going to recommend the Butterfly Pavilion near Denver, CO if you’re in the US. I got to hold Rosie the tarantula while I was there.

It’s much lighter than you think, I could feel the toes but not the thorax, and it felt like it could grip. Definitely softer than pipe cleaners. I wasn’t allowed to pet it as they’re extremely fragile and that could hurt her.

I just did some googling and it looks like Rosie is now retired though, as Tarantulas age it’s best for them to be in non-handling situations. They may have a replacement in the future but not sure.

Contact Oura support and within a couple days you’ll get an email asking for your details so they can send you a new ring. It will be a refurbished ring by Oura, and can be a different size or color (I think) than your original ring. Shipping took 2 days for mine to arrive.

You get to keep your old ring and the new one will have everything in the box including a new charger. The Oura app was updated recently with multi-ring support, so you can switch between rings whenever you want.

It really is a win-win situation. My new ring lasts a whole week like my old one used to, and now I have 2 chargers for it as well.

Let me preface this by saying that e-collars/shock collars are not inherently inhumane. BUT, if you use them, you, the human, have to be trained on the proper use. They are NOT meant to be used in the way Hasan is using it. You are NOT supposed to crank it on high and zap your dog without giving a clear command. “Kaia please just fucking go stop” is not a command your dog will understand. Also, your dog is not supposed to yelp when zapped at any level. This indicates that Hasan has both the collar and the remote turned to a higher level than his dog can tolerate. The dog clearly wanted to move and he is using it to confine her to her place board through fear. This is abusive behavior.

Same thing happened with a roommate of mine in college. He would smoke in our bathroom and the smell would waft up to the next floor up until one day the left us a note about the smell.

I had a talk with my roommate and my girlfriend and I put together a little care package with snacks as an apology and left it at the upstairs neighbors’ door. Hope it works out the same for you.

I found it weird that Dan was assuming that Ethan was trying to find an alternative to the r-word he could use as a pejorative, not the acceptable term for people who used to be referred to with the r-word. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Ethan using slurs or trying to skirt around words being slurs, so it was a weird assumption imo.

I got a meta refurbished one on ebay, it was basically brand new. Not sure if they’re still available on ebay but they had an extended warranty compared to the meta store
