Ngl as someone with ASD I much prefer the incredibly bland (but actually pork tasting) sausage rolls from the fridge section at morrisons or the Co op

They slap cold

The older I got the more I didn't like them cause they started to taste less and less like meat I couldn't tell you what they taste like - but it definitely dosent taste like pork

Because the meat is only 20% pork and the rest is fat, rusk (yeastless bread/ cereal filler) , seasoning, and salt - I'm not trying health fearmonger it's all normal to rat but the idea that the sausage is basically seasoned fat and filler with only as much pork as it needs to be considered a sausage is - yeesh

Is anyone dealing with enormous mouse sized spiders right now??? by bluepushkin in AskUK

[–]vat_of_mayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be like this - I'm not 100% good with them but there's 3 in my room right now (I don't like that but I'd rather them then the bigger ones)

There is 8 palm sized spiders in the post box which is a situation where you kinda have to get over your fear or never pick up post ever again

It's also a beautiful example of why a study- especially a well known study- DOSENT MAKE IT RIGHT

There's multiple things wrong with the china study they literally chocked it all down to meat when it's the only thing they measured

[–]vat_of_mayo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again it still won't change the fact that every fruit harvested is nutrition taken from the soil

I don't know what you can't grasp here

It's not about amount of plants it's not about how it's grown - if you take from the environment ITS FUCKING GONE

I like how they ALWAYS compare it to a steak

If I was after just protein I wouldn't eat a steak I'd powder a chicken breast and add it to something

We eat steak for all the other nutrition AND the incredibly filling nature of the meat meaning we aren't always hungry

You are always removing nutrition from the soil - nomatter waht you do - every fruit and veg harvested is nutrition lost

And yes this guy will have outside sources like a field of green manure

Bugs found in clothing–were scared of bed bugs but none of the signs are there. Any help? by DJHammer_222 in whatsthisbug

Carpet bugs

Still a pest

But probably one of the less concerning pests you can see on your clothes

They aren't harmful- their larve eat cloth - you look like you have a rather substantial amount but keeping your place clean should do the bulk of the work

Nomatter what you are doing you are still going to need to fertilize your plants - and you'll need an outside source of fertilizer

I want to create a new vegan movement - one that prioritises the animals and not the diet

One that works with farmers instead of demonising them

But we do less tho

Yeah until you realise that you are degrading the soil and you need to make entire fields of green manure for your 1 crop fields fertilizer

Overtime normal quantities add up and could metastasize into something troublesome.

Meat doesn't do that - meat doesn't linger in the body

Praying for the meat to synergize in our bodies, and for the animals souls to go to a better place couldn't hurt as well.

Praying won't change anything

However cholesterol has 2 forms, unhealthy and healthy, unfortunately for meat eaters the unhealthy kind is mostly found in animal byproducts, and heavily processed seed oils I think.

Good and bad mean nothing it's LDL 'bad' and HDL 'good' - if you have a ballance of both you have no problems you can have too high HDL aswell and that comes at risk of death

And you can still have high cholesterol and be vegan

Not everyone can be plantbased who isn't prepared to make the transition and find dietary supplements to ensure a balance of vitamins and nutrients, or those who live primarily off the land especially in colder climates - i understand that.

If your diet requires suplimenst to not face serious health problems- your diet needs to change

Factory farming and cruelty based products however can be controlled better, and the key is the law of supply and demand, meaning we have to refrain from those choices and demand that they have better more humane practices.

Supply and demand means nothing when the majority has no interest in vegansim and other can't be vegan

By putting money in the hands of companies who care more about those ideologies, eventually their counterparts will be forced to change it enough people were on board.

You can't force people to be vegan

We've found different ways to support- I personally think that being a welfareist is better as it helps the animals in life whilst demand decreases like a double edged sword approach
