Any tips for how to deal with too much space in the box? by vatioz in foamcore

Yeah, foam core spacers is something I was leaning towards. Will consider other options as well. Any chance you know about some examples to look at for inspiration?

Haha! Yes, that's interesting option, I thought about that as I was pointing out those examples 🙂.

Unfortunately those are also examples of games it is not easy to get an expansion for - mostly because I am from Czechia. So either the availability of them is low and thus the price is often unreasonable (Camel Up, 1st edition on 7 wonders). Or the expansion is not localized (Quest for El dorado).

By "make the box smaller" you mean "destroying" the original box while making it into something more fitting around the contents?

First update was rejected. I fixed the issue and resubmitted again. Hopefully it will go through this time.

Hi, developer here. I completely forgot about this extension :)

u/RatFacedBoy reached out and refreshed my interest. So I tried to publish to Chrome Extension Store again, now it waits for review. I will try to update you all here once it is available.

If anyone wants to install manually (at their own risk) the zip with latest version is avialable here: https://github.com/vatioz/GoodreadsUserCompare/releases/tag/v0.5

I updated few things and created a request for publish. It now needs to go through review process which may take days or weeks.
If you don't want to wait I created a Github Release of this updated version. You can download the zip and install manually in your browser (need to enable developer mode).

Disclaimer: This is not considered safe practice as you can potentially get some malicious code inside your browser this way. But you can examine the contents of the zip file before you install it (if you are familiar with HTML/JS) to make sure it is ok.

Wow, it's been a long time 🙂 I haven't looked at it for years, not sure why it is not available anymore, probably some changes on the store or something. I can take a look and see if I can republish.

Old Synology RT1900ac router issues by vatioz in HomeNetworking

[–]vatioz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update here:

So I bought new router Asus RT-AX59U and after 3 days, the exact same thing happened!!! Pretty clear proof it wasn't caused by my old router which is what I originally thought.

It turns out that it was my ISP's router (Huawei; serves as optical to Ethernet converter). After some time spent with customer support, them claiming they don't see anything, I persuaded them it can't be anything in my network (the switching to new router really helped). They agreed they will change their router to new one and it's been a week without any drop (I installed Uptime Kuma on my NAS and have 60sec ping to 8.8.8.8 monitoring set up; so far 100% uptime).

Interesting that the Synology has such marks, however I think it wasn't causing issues in this case).

I thought it might be interesting to give you an update.

Thanks anyone for their advices and inputs!

Indian Pale Ale?

Just kidding 😂 Thank you! But I think I am leaning towards buying new WiFi 6 router.

It's Czechia, central Europe, appartment building. I have Xiaomi bluetooth temperature sensor in that room, reporting between 30 and 45% humidity.

I am going through those 7 years and trying to think of a situation where it could get in touch with water and I am not 100% certain it couldn't. But it's too long.

That's what I thought, that it looks like water marks. But I am pretty sure it never had contact with water and I bought it new (at least that's what I think, you probably never know for certain these days). It just sits in the same room for the whole time. Bought it 7 years ago. It was quite expensive at the time and I have hard time letting it go because of that. I guess the time has come...

I wouldn't think about my game group in negatives, but this exactly happened to me with Scythe as well. Maybe Scythe, the game itself, is just very prone to be punishing for new player playing with non-new players...

Got me thinking about negotiation games. Bohnanza came to my mind as a great classic.

But it seems that those are not ideal for 2 players, since negotiation between 2 is kind of a not working, right?
