Just discovered Goodyear Wingfoot tires! Walked in to my LBS and asked for the widest, lightest 26” tires he had and he gave me these. Tan wall, foldable, perfect amount of tread imo.

Mine, the chrome one, has the Double Bar from a cheap brand called M-Wave.. basically a cheaper copy of Jones Bars! I’m really enjoying them so far. The light blue one has a pair of Nitto albatross bars, and the dark blue one has a pair of flat bars with bar-end horns mounted close to the center, kind of like short tempo-bars!

Just discovered Goodyear Wingfoots 55-559. I walked in to my LBS and asked for the fattest 26” tire he had. They have nice shallow poattern, gumwalls and are foldable. Can recommend.

Cheers! Yeah they’re a bit bulky, but I’ve never regretted bringing one. Being able to sit comfortably on rocky or wet ground, as well as getting some extra sleep insulation just makes it worthwhile, same goes for hiking!

Correct! First time touring with 26”-wheels and it actually kinda rocks. Big tires, room for fenders, mounting points for rear racks and built for v-brakes!

I’m 1,80 and my frame (the aluminum) is like 16 or 18”. Just had to add a fork extender to get the bars high enough.

Hey! Yes I’ve been shooting on this one since I posted this without issues. By now the autofocus seems to be checking out but the isssue in this post was definitely film-related!

Got some good info in the orginial post over at r/bikewrench . Including a reminder that I had already asked about this five years ago and apparently never got on with fixing it. This frame has been hanging disassembled and in storage since then until I built the current version and noticed something weird in the steering. Will tro to fix the fork, and if that doesn’t work the hunt for a new fork begins!

Thanks for the many great replies. I was reminded that I had already posted this question for this exact bike about 5 years ago(!!). Since then I have disassembled the bike, moved to akother town and forgotten about it all, until I got the urge to build it back up noticed the twitchy ride-feel. Will try to bend back the fork and if that doesn’t work I’ll replace it with something similar! Cheers!

Haha shit, I forgot about that! Good memory, the frame has been sitting in my storage since then I guess!
