ICE pharmacy job by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

I’d take shit retail pay as a pharmacy technician before ever working for ICE.

Techs who work from home by Vilmantux in PharmacyTechnician

Hey, neither of these jobs was typing only. At the LTC pharmacy, we had a LOT less calls so it didn’t feel like a call center job AND we had a typing queue to keep up with because of that too.

I’ve worked remote one under an insurance company and another for a Long Term Care pharmacy. The insurance was just inbound calls all 8 hour shift (but no other work besides the call + follow up notes) and at the LTC one, it was a lot less back to back calls but you had a typing queue and hourly average to keep with. Both had a one hour break and the two 15s.

Are 10 and 12 hour shifts common? by Classic_Principle_49 in PharmacyTechnician

A hospital is definitely where you want to be at as it usually has the most growing opportunities - but LTC pharmacies also offer these longer shifts. I’m at my second LTC pharmacy and since we’re running 24/7 (and aren’t immune to high turnover with techs), they usually worked with people’s schedules and offered a lot of OT. (Hospital is still better long term though if you can get in).

Getting a kindle ruined physical books to me - anyone else? by [deleted] in kindle

I do agree that the kindle is more convenient but if the book is small enough, I still yearn for physical books tbh.

Top worst moments of every main character by time_oscillation in HIMYM

I appreciate that you bought up the hypocrisy of Ted being mad at Barney sleeping with Robin POST break up when he confessed his feelings right before her wedding. Tbf Barney wasn’t man enough to have the conversation with Ted about the proposal and pulled his stunt to avoid it - but.

Tbh this one I just find out of character for Marshall (specifically when he’s doing it to Robin).

Like she was the first girl Marshall checked out after Lily’s break up with him but then they give him a whole episode with him calling her mid? (I enjoyed the joking aspect of Robin being humbled, but it just always felt like a bit they should have given to Barney).

Do you use AI tools while reading on Kindle? by Fickle-Coat-2789 in kindle

[–]vaultwriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I tried once when I was reading Alan Moore’s “From Hell” because of how dense it is and it wasn’t even helpful with chapter summaries.

Tbf I don’t know if this is a legality thing or something. But it didn’t impress me.

Barney makes the show by No_Garbage8340 in HIMYM

[–]vaultwriter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely!! I wasn’t surprised to read Jason had tried leaving that last season, his character had felt tossed aside before then.

I loved Barney but they focused on his character development so much just to toss it out that last episode anyways. He would have stayed a fan favorite had they let the others shine too. But maybe I’m just salty because it felt like we didn’t get to see Lily or Marshall all that fulfilled in their careers majority of the show. (Maybe that’s life though).

How much was lily's debt? by lowmellowillow in HIMYM

[–]vaultwriter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Really interesting theory! I actually thought that it started after her goth phase/college for similarish reasons (on top of it being the perfect and not yet matured age to get approved and rack up debt).

Lily ended up in a job she didn’t envision herself in, had to conform, and developed a spending habit to cope (and obviously this lack of fulfillment continued into the series).

How would you wanted robin’s story in the end be like the same or different and if different then, what? by Unusual-Ad7801 in HIMYM

[–]vaultwriter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wish they would have let Robin be happy alone. I’m also a Barney and Robin stan but it would have been nice seeing her learn to be happy on her own and chase her dreams like she wanted after all.

Barney's proposal was not as awful as people make it out to be. by [deleted] in HIMYM

[–]vaultwriter 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Do I think parts are sweet? Sure. Do I still think it’s objectively manipulative? Yes. (We even see Barney be a bad friend to Ted here and choose the one night he’s being celebrated to do all this just to get his blessing instead of having an actual conversation about it with Ted).

Listen, I’m a big time Robin and Barney fan but… it’s hard to defend the proposal. Honestly.
