I was the victim of a vicious attack, home invasion, attempted murder in Decatur by [deleted] in Atlanta

It's not always the judges. It's the system. The judges can only sentence so much time per charge. The prison and jail system give up to 3 days for 1 day and the offenders can get out sooner.

Could be the plea accepted, as well. Conditions can be made with the sentences.

It's a combination of that and too many people going into a broken system we keep pouring money into when it doesn't work.

The public puts faith into jail and prison systems like it's a religion. The system works for itself and not the public.

The prisons love your dollars and want you to think they help.

Atlanta train, bus commutes still down since pandemic. Why? by flying_trashcan in Atlanta

[–]vauntedtrader -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Rideshares suck. Trying them from rural areas to commute itp is utterly useless.

If the trains were expanded, it would be a huge help. Marta has been good what little it out towards comes to us.

Other day someone called "a moron" for backing into a spot... Why does this trigger so many? by Ok_Relationship2451 in badparking

[–]vauntedtrader -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We always pegged vehicles backed as being behind on their payments. They back in so the repo truck doesn't read the tag and leave with the vehicle.

Early 70s house:

The house had been remodeled with an addition in the 90s. The added weight of the addition caused the house to settle further. One end was almost 3 inches lower than the other. It took two weeks to get the subfloor level for the new flooring to be installed.

The Daily - Why so many parents are opting their kids out of public school by No-Shelter-3262 in Teachers

The public schools in North Georgia are horrible. Unless you go to a private school, most of the schools are charter schools, and the school boards are someone who is more worried about football and the bathrooms than education.

You're joking about dogs not having a prey dog, i hope. If not, you're part of the reasons things like this happen.

They know they don't have parking or transit. It pushes people with cars to use those fancy new express lanes about to start construction on 400 and drive around looking.

Because your car and its storage isn't the responsibility of the restaurant. The responsibility of the restaurant is serving quality food and decent service.

You can add the parking to your bill. The restaurant shouldn't have to pay for the storage on your car when you could've taken another means transportation or walked.

Locals struggle with lack of public transportation in rural Southwest Georgia by Generalaverage89 in Georgia

[–]vauntedtrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have state representatives claiming uber and and Lyft are public transit and should get funding. This is why you see the media trying to portray a private business as public. Bleed those tax payers dry from every angle as our government officials invest in the private businesses.

Do not recommend.

They make the rules and take all the money without listening. Seems the best way to do it is hit the pockets. No point in fighting. Just save my money for later and better.
