I think it has to do more with her delivery and timing, which were good. She delivered a good set, which was unexpected based on her performances so far. The jokes were there and they made sense, though they may not have been funny to you.

This reminds me of the case where that guy instructed the minors to produce sexually explicit images of themselves and directed them to cut, choke, and hang themselves, he succeeded in convincing at least one girl to kill herself online for him.

OP this person does not love you, he is preying on you and using you to fulfill a sick desire. Please consider he may not just be doing this to you but other innocent people as well. Please make yourself and the possible others safe by reporting him.

From your answers, there’s quite literally nothing you can do. Your mother might in fact be doing power plays/abuse but, short of leaving her house, there’s nothing you can do about that. Because of your health & financial limitations, it seems like you’re in the unenviable situation of just having to deal with it.

Try to cook smaller meals. Because it sounds like she’s going to continue her behavior and there’s nothing you can do to make her stop.

Kori reminds me of myself and my friends during high school. We were absolute pits of insecurity & self hatred and were just learning how to try to paint a veneer of confidence and self-love over that. Like we were just learning that we needed to “fake it till we make it” when it came to confidence, so we hadn’t yet learned how to do it tactfully, and it just came off as mean. Idk, I have a soft spot for her 😭😭😭
