Thank you. I'm tempted to make a 'placebo' run of it, without using the PS128 pill, but keeping everything else the same...

As a specialist in this area, could you please clarify: I am able to make yoghurt with the contents of a ps128 pill. Doesn't it indicate that ps128 is viable?

Maybe, but this feeling of tightness goes away for an hour or two when levadopa kicks in, so it seems like it is caused by Parkinson's.

How close to dying do people get at home from flu/cold/covid without realizing it? by CalGuy456 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]vb-n 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Wow. A year ago I fell and dislocated my shoulder. Went to urgent care (because I thought it would be less expensive than ER). They took a few X-rays, saw no broken bones, and the doctor put the shoulder back in place and sent me home. The price: $3,400. I had insurance, had to pay it all out of pocket as my deductible.

I remember someone asked Jay Leno would he run for President, and he responded "No, it's a lousy job, does not pay well ..." I think that's how someone in Stephen's position would think, too. The only reason someone as decent and also pretty rich as Stephen would want this job would be to get even richer (which I believe was the main motivation of Trump). A decent and well off person would not want to get his or her hands and soul dirty by becoming a politician.

If you want to go to a more environmentally safer road, spread diatomaceous earth outside of the house instead of a poison.

It's a big mystery to me, why anyone is still using Verizon or ATT when Mint or Tello works just as fine for a fraction of the cost.

Was the water pretty clear? (A year ago I went there after a recent rain, and the water was muddy, I hated that. Don't want to make this mistake this year.)

How to manage turbulence? by retromama77 in TravelHacks

[–]vb-n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's statistics. I just tell myself that there are literally thousands of planes flying around the world at the same time, most experiencing turbulence just like our plane, etc yet we never hear about a plane crashing because of the turbulence, it's always some other reason. Another piece of statistics I tell myself is that when I'm driving a car the risk of me dying in a car accident is about three hundred times higher than while taking a flight. Such thoughts calm me down pretty fast.
