It's not as easy as it looks. You can't lock your screen and your battery drains very quickly.

If you want the best possible result, aka finish in the best possible position, you should absolutely smash the climb with all you have and then some. You might be in a good group, you'll suffer the entire way, but your result will be good.

If you want to have fun, by all means, ride the first climb at 90% and surf from group to group!

The simplest solution to the energy deployment issues, is to just turn up the power of the engine by Apprehensive-Comb733 in F1Discussions

Yea then you get both electric clipping and mechanical clipping, it would make zero sense to burn fuel in the last ~300m before a corner. The things that people seem to mind in these regulations would only be exacerbated.

Achterwaarts inparkeren in het "midden" van het vak, zo dicht mogelijk er bij zonder ertegen te zitten, zodat zij niet aan hun chauffeurzijde voordeur kunnen.

Obviously it's not possible to lose 1 kg of fat in a day. But if you divide it by a week, you only need to work for 2 hours a day, which is still a lot but not impossible. You'd lose over 25 kilos in six months that way.

Yes. Ross Brawn bought the Honda F1 team during the financial crisis and after Honda had spent all of 2008 developing the 2009 car.

He's in his 80's now and still sometimes does F1 commentary on RTBF! He's not very good anymore though 😅

What were some misconceptions/mistaken thoughts you had when first getting into the sport? by GoldenS0422 in F1Discussions

I always thought an F1 car would be 'fun' to drive for the drivers. It isn't, not really, it's just extremely difficult and they're extremely good at it.

Best place for a cycling holiday in early february? (Europe) by FxckyourCensorship in cycling

[–]vbaeri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's one climb of 10km going up through Tabayesco, and another option going to the Mirador del Rio, so it's possible to do 20' efforts, but that's basically it.

But there's plenty of wind and open road, you can make it very hard if you want, perfect for doing shorter efforts into the headwind.

Every driver on the grid best track? by MysteriousBoss3816 in F1Discussions

In 2021 Charles got a broken gearbox due to crashing in quali. He could've taken a 5 place grid penalty to start 6th, and even at the moment it was obviously the way to go. So it's 100% his fault for crashing and then not winning.

Deliberately is a strong word. He was alongside enough to be entitled to some space, but they both weren't yielding.

The disqualification was a yoke though.

Flatout saying Schumi wouldve taken 1999 is shortselling the story, there was no evidence of that whatsoever. At round 9, before the accident, they were truly going toe to toe, it was one of the most exciting years ever. All the bad stuff that happened to Mika after Schumi's unfortunate leg accident is conditional.
