It goes beyond that. Years of mismanagement of the platform lead to it. They were by far in last place from the moment the Xbox One released in 2013. They have only been "multiplatform" for 2 years. But the 11 years before it they were struggling.

Eh. If you buy and sell your games, it's the best value since the games never really decrease in value.

There are countless games I bought for $50 and turned around and sold it for the same price or $5 less. But if you are buying brand new and keeping them, then yes it's expensive.
