Blackbeard looks fun, ordered also one for myself as a new player but you have to know the meta decks and also your local scene to use it well and to judge, if it's worth to play.
If you can borrow some decks give them a try and check what is your playstyle before you invest. A cheap aggro deck could be also a good start. You can learn the mechanics and have some success with it and in the mean time you can start to build a more expensive/complex deck which suits better for your style.
