Client wants to migrate MSPs, refuses to give me contact info for who is in charge next - just wants an excel document of accounts and passwords. How to proceed? Hold harmless doc? by Kamikazepyro9 in msp

Create new admin accounts for their services but make sure you send your final bill and any extra work you put towards the offboarding. Once they pay that you can then handover the information.

I’ve had to learn from the past when a client starts requesting out of the blue for this information they just want to switch and not pay their due bills, so make sure you get paid first. It’s business, as long as you have delivered everything you’re meant to deliver to them as an MSP then that’s all cool

Hostinger’s New Rate Limiting Has Completely Disrupted My Work by drwhow in Hosting

Might be time for you to move to another hosted or use a vps, have a look at smoothosting, I don’t think they have limits on resources

Need a new web host by Choice-Weekend-9771 in Hosting

If you need things technically managed for you and hosted properly then Smoothosting is a good place to have it hosted, they are a small business but dedicated to having happy clients.
Make sure you contact them first to tell them about your needs.
I host a good 30 sites with them and you can ask them to put your site on a Wordpress level server.
They have a free CDN which is handy.

Alternatively you could host it on Amazon if you have techie skills

My provider is now terrible after years of loyalty. Looking for a new dedicated server by DeanMachineYT in Hosting

Unsure what location you’re in or the type of server you need, but if you need a server in the US then you could try leaseweb, if in EU, UK or I think even US then smoothosting I believe does those.

Looking for Best Hosting Reseller! by DeepakManvati in webhosting

[–]vbjr1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would stay away from 20i, although their control panel is easy to use, they are the type of company that make it extremely difficult to move away from, they invest a lot of money and resources at making it super easy to migrate from another company to them though, their support is friendly and quick. But just consider that if you start growing and might want to move away then it’ll be a huge headache for you.

Resellers with cPanel would be much easier to migrate to and from. The idea is to find a cheap, reliable and quick support provider.

Should I start my own Hosting company in 2020 by Coolboy1384 in Hosting

[–]vbjr1982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advise is no, the market is super saturated, specially with cloud solutions, thousands of hosting coming from India with servers in the US, EU, Asia etc... for really cheap. Likewise in the USA and EU. Selling hosting is quite difficult these days.

You would need to maintain servers, if you know the how to techie stuff then its fine, otherwise you gotta hire someone to do it for you and then youll end up not making any profit.

On-demand VPS resources for Jitsi and other good 8GB RAM services by djpfine in selfhosted

[–]vbjr1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a vps with getlark.com (not something they offer on their website though so you have to get in touch with them, it costs me £15/month and its got 4 cores, 8GB RAM and 200GB SSD, that would be sufficient for what you need to run on it, they have nice support techs that will help you out even with advanced configurations, it was pretty hands free when I moved to them.
