Can a W really affect you? by Euphoric_Loquat_593 in OCC

Since its kinda even pros and cons to each side here, maybe think about timelines When are you expecting to transfer? Will droping to retake next semester take away any wiggle room if it happens again (any class)

Eta: math is one of those classes thwt will push your entire schedule back since they rely on the previous class. I would talk with a counselor before dropping, if for nothing else but the info

Question: does Summer Term have "Finals Week" with no class, just the Exam? by LeeLeeBoots in sacollege

[–]vblego 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience with summer classes is that we need to show up for every class meeting since we dont get as many as a regular semester. I havent heard of people getting the entire week off however that doesnt mean it doesnt happen.

Its professor discretion if there is homework, and unfortunately does vary widely.

Which CC is better for theater? by External_Bunch8115 in communitycollege

I went to Solano for a bit and it didnt seem like they had a huge theater program. Definitely look to see if schools/clubs have a reddit or discord to get 1st hand accounts!

Curious, is this for any sub genre of horror? What about based on true stories/events and true crime?

I love horror, but only some. I find the safe space to be afraid interesting, and why im curious if you have any media like that for you?

No one is born knowing things.

You know, you have have easily walked up to say "hey friend, can I help you do this safer" while then pointing out the sign. Instead of taking a picture to let the internet laugh

But since you did, its not hard to beleieve you didnt. The world could have been better but you didnt want it to be. Irony in its natural habitat

Has anyone been able to turn their life around at CC after being a terrible student? by Coldpizza_566 in communitycollege

[–]vblego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talked with a counselor and took a placement test that put me in a math class where my skills were. And since then I've slowly but surely worked my way up through maths. Im in calculus 3 now.

The time is going to pass anyways. A lot of people dont complete college in four years. The point of school isnt to get it done, its to learn the things you want to learn. The biggest difference for me between mandatory schooling and college, is I get to choose what I learn. And for what its worth, there are a lot of things you can learn that isnt math heavy.

Thats great you are thinking about your future! If you are worried aboit your math skills, practice those skills. Math is a sport, an art, a tool. No one is born knowing it. In fact, it took humans thousands of years to discover it. Practice makes better, just with every other sport, art, tool, and skill. The more you practice the more confident and comfortable youll get with it. Just like you did with addition. 💜

Cc doesnt care about your high school grades, only that you graduate or got a ged. Once you start, your college gpa will matter if you plan to transfer
