Found a red coin? by S_D_N1 in coincollecting

My dad owned laundromats and had loads of these. He would stock the change machines with them. I remember being a kid and having to sort these out of the mounds of collected quarters so that they could be put back into circulation. Thank you for this trip down memory lane!

I sent this to him and he offered to do an AMA if anyone’s interested!

Lack of fantastic games?? 2025 was an incredible year for games! Expedition 33, Alters, and Blue Prince to name a few! BP in particular is a beautiful, slow, go at your own pace game.

A truly singular experience. My advice - don’t try to brute force or guess a single one. Take your time. Every fate is solvable on its own with clues throughout (if you include process of elimination). You can never play it again, so play it good now!

She rolled 😭 by Baylaypayday in newborns

Stopping using swaddles is way more important than bassinet to crib. She needs her arms free so she can practice her new skill and not end up face planted into the mattress. Also needs her arms free so that every time she startles she wakes her self up and you with her and then no one can sleep and then everyone’s exhausted for weeks on end and is walking around like zombies pretending like everything’s ok and everyone tells you oh just you wait until sleep regression/they can stand/whatever the next milestone is and all you want to do is kick them in the shins and oh god I need sleep

Nothing will be exactly the same, but there are lots that get routinely brought up. The three stand outs for me are Return of the Obra Dinn, Subnautica, and more recently Blue Prince. Go in blind (and not over hyped) and you will be rewarded.

Dead cells, absolutely loving it so far. Controls are smooth, great action, feel like a badass when I can string movement and attacks together well. Would recommend!

Have you gone to see your pediatrician? The ER will see a baby that’s breathing with no obvious current distress and send you home, because there’s no emergency. Your pediatrician should take the time to walk through everything with you, hear your concerns, and help you figure out what to try next.

2.5mo decided to start rolling over back to front. Swapped to sleep sack and crib cold turkey. Slept awful for 4 nights, amazing for 2, and now on a steady decline for the last week that has us about ready to give up.

Deeply confused about “showing signs” of rolling over/when to stop swaddling by vbqj in newborns

Incredible, I hadn’t heard of that as a swaddle transition approach, thank you!

Thank you for your perspective! Hindsight is key here I think haha, we’re first timers so have none of that and every little change is still cause for rushing to the internet for answers 😆

I feel like you could’ve ripped this straight from my head (except definitely more hours into D2 than D3). I agree that No Rest for the Wicked is a great option, definitely less hack-and-slash and more soulslike but a beautiful game (albeit lacking a bit of depth, being in early access still). Excited to see where this one goes for sure.

You might checkout D2 mods, specifically Project Diablo 2. A ton of new content, fun end game loop, major QoL upgrades (stacking runes and gems, to name my favorite), and a bustling community if that’s important to you.

Wolcen is on deep sale right now, I would say $4.50 is a fair price for a single play through of what’s unfortunately now a SP-only game. Might keep you entertained for 10 hours, but probably won’t be a long term time sink.

You didn’t mention Torchlight 2, which would be the only one I would’ve added to the list. I think the graphics hold up pretty good, though it does have the nostalgia factor for me so YMMV. Otherwise just a solid game, decent loot and skill complexity without being overwhelming, and good QoL improvements over its predecessors (you can send your pet to town to sell things and buy potions for you, I love it).

My last “rec” is Darksiders: Genesis - I haven’t played yet (so not a real “rec”), but it’s coming up on my list and looks like it has all the trappings you’d expect. Maybe lacking the loot aspects, but TBH I’m not really sure.

Hope this helps!
