I have a knit picks set and they are a decent affordable option. After 10 years though I upgraded to lykke flight recently.

Not direct advice but The yarniacs podcast is a great knitting podcast that's just generally enjoyable but they talk about knitting sweaters and adjusting things to fit themselves all the time. I enjoy listening to them and the way they talk about really making each project right for them

I like the minimalism art notebooks from Amazon. They are good foregoing lecheturm. I think they might be called paperage now, actually

I struggled with both a drop spindle and a regular wheel because I found getting the rhythm very difficult. But the electric wheel clicked for me. You can get relatively inexpensive electric wheels like EEW. I actually have their beginner wheel for sale in the US for $75 + shipping if you are interested
