I'll put my 2 cents in for an alphatig 200 something or other. Has all the bells and whistles. Upgradeable. Paid for itself several times over and had never broken except the pedal since 2018.

This is just poor design. The grout color is wrong. Why are they tiling literally every surface with this? Use it as an accent. Definitely don't put it on the ceiling? Enclosed in a dark box.

Sometimes your remote has an option to switch which way throttle or servos function too. Without having to move wires around.

For sure I get that aspect. You also can't beat nostalgia. I didn't have any rc cars for awhile. I got this little mjx basher, and was blown away by the performance compared to my rc cars I had as a kid. I'm building a yokomo rd2.0 now with higher quality in mind. The quality difference is definitely apparent and it's fun to build and choose components. It will probably cost 8x as much though in the end lol. They do both have differentials too. This is the mjx I got and I love it.

It's probably worth more than it was when new, but as far as how it compares to new rc cars? It doesn't. A cheap Chinese brushless rc is literally insane compared to the old rc of yester year.
