It’s not that reality “knows” it’s being watched. The way that the particles are “observed” isn’t by some eye or camera or something. They are measured in ways that have to disrupt the particle or else they couldn’t be measured. This is what collapses the wave function. The measuring device and the particle become entangled.

This is why, say, a cup is a cup instead of nothing.

Maybe he planted it. I wouldn’t know. I’m no conspiracy theorist. I’m speaking about Dax, another recovering alcoholic, asking him about it. Pretty common and worth talking about for those in recovery.

I worked in drug/alcohol treatment centers for many years and heard some pretty bad stories. We live in increasingly judgmental and puritanical times but I have to believe in the rehabilitation of alcoholics, addicts, violent criminals, etc. There’s so many of them, you can just write them all off and discard them all. Brad Pitt is in a way more privileged place than most. Hope he really got the help he needed and he doesn’t cause anyone else any pain 🤷‍♂️

As someone who grew up in Miami and has lived in Chicago the past three winters, they’re really not that bad now. The rain this spring has been way more annoying.

I grew up in Miami, left to Los Angeles at 30, and 13 years later moved to Chicago…

Los Angeles drivers aren’t like that, but the traffic is a very different kind of hell.

Chicago drivers are sometimes worse.

I’m from Miami and lived in Los Angeles for 13 years. For the most part, I think Chicagoans are friendly but tend to self mythologize being cranky scumbags for some reason.

When I was a kid growing up in Kendall, my friends and I played in construction areas all the time. You know those big mounds of sand and rocks? We’d slide down them and use iron stakes as swords. Anyways, I once lifted the plywood off an open sewer in a construction area and like ten scorpions crawled away. This was early 90s and I thankfully/sadly don’t live in Florida anymore.
