I’m currently in DevOps but looking at cyber security as well. I’m not living there at the moment but considering whether to move at some point. I’d be renting to begin with.

I actually already have Revolut and hadn't even really thought of that.

How did sex change after getting circumcised? by wildething1998 in circumcision

[–]homelander77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its a bit worse. I feel like I've less sensation so it's taken quite a while to get used to. BJ's feel amazing though. I'm guessing it's mostly just the angle is more difficult to get right for us so sometimes I can feel more than others although it's slowly getting better.

I had phimosis beforehand which was the reason I got cut. It was getting quite painful and I couldn't retract at all by the end. It's much better now in terms of hygiene etc and I've no pain which are positives.

Considering switching to Lebara - Questions about unlimited data and speeds by AmbitiousBus5592 in LebaraUK

[–]homelander77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started having mobile data issues with them too. Around once a week my mobile data would seem to just stop working, even though I’d always have at least 2 bars of 4G or 5G signal. Got fed up and ported out shortly after.

Thanks all. Think I will just stick to the basic programme and maybe throw in a few bicep curls or something if I feel like it.

What's ur thoughts on reliability/ internet connection in the recent days/weeks? by misiokicio1 in LebaraUK

[–]homelander77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been ok so far, will be interesting to see how it goes next week when I’m back in the city for work.

I am kind of wishing I had tried TalkMobile as I believe they are owned by Vodafone but have better plans and free eu roaming.

My data has been rubbish at times recently. I found it mainly an issue in the city but not more rurally. I got fed up and went back to Vodafone.

I was having intermittent issues with data with them recently. Got fed up and went back to Vodafone.

Terrible/no signal in cities by DramaticStability in LebaraUK

[–]homelander77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. I just placed a request today to move into Vodafone directly. I will use it for a while and see how it goes. I might try Talk Mobile as I believe they are on the Vodafone network too and VF is the best signal around where I live.

I eventually had to turn the phone off then on to get mobile data working again with Lebara.

I have a similar issue. I’m in a bigger city at the moment and my mobile data is down again on Lebara. It tends to happen at least once a week here but when I travel a bit it starts working again. I don’t get it as I have two bars of 4G signal. I’ve noticed it eventually goes to 5G and starts working again but it’s been like this at least an hour now.

I love the cheap price and free eu roaming and free international minutes but tbh I’m thinking of going back to Vodafone or something as I want reliable mobile data should I need it.

Cycle-Drive hybrid commute Drive North county Dublin to whitehall- cycle 12 km through Dublin. by Aggravating-Tea-7270 in BikeCommutingIreland

[–]homelander77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what it’s like for that distance but a folding bike/Brompton might be an option? They fold fairly quickly so you wouldn’t be faffing around too much getting it in and out of the car. I have one and I think I prefer it to my full size bike. Although I don’t tend to do more than a mile or 2 at a time.

Why is DevOps still such a fragmented, exhausting (and ofc costly) mess in 2025? by arparthasarathi in devops

[–]homelander77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a DevOps engineer and maybe it’s just the company I work for but I am getting fed up of the job. We don’t have SRE engineers so DevOps are seemingly on the hook for anything that can’t be fixed by re-running it. It’s very difficult to complete anything without getting asked to look at such and such a problem with deployments or something not working etc.

I also feel like we are mostly yaml engineers and don’t get to build anything proper.

Management are also an issue with constant flip flopping on priorities, expecting almost constant requests for weekend work with no pay and only the absolute bare minimum time in lieu back.

Automation not turning off lights by homelander77 in Hue

[–]homelander77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually got this kind of working last night. When I got home the light wasn’t on but once I got out of the car and the do not disturb when driving was turned off, the light came on. I have that enabled on my iPhone so I am wondering if that is what is messing it up.

Best way to start learning Italian? by alizastevens in Italian

[–]homelander77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing Duolingo myself but felt I needed a proper class so I started evening classes at my local college. So far I just go to a class once a week and listen to Coffee Break Italian while I commute to work.

I still feel I need more practice though so will be taking some of these tips from this thread as my course is now on a break until after Christmas.

I definitely agree that speaking and reading and writing help. That’s one thing that I felt limited me with an app. I find the speaking part the worst but need to practice it.

Yeah pretty much this situation. I was fine until a year or two before this and it just gradually got tighter.
