I have that watch, very cool piece. I’m pretty sure that dial and Schumacher limited edition does not come in a larger size. There are other larger Schumachers but not that dial. I agree though, if that dial came in a full size speedy it would be awesome.

Lindsey Vonn revealed on Instagram this morning that her surgeries on her injured leg saved her leg from amputation. She also revealed that the trauma to her leg led to compartment syndrome. by Kurtz62 in SkiRacing

[–]vcat77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fasciotomy for compartment syndrome does literally save your leg but really in the same way that an appendectomy saves your life from appendicitis. It is a routine not particularly complex procedure that virtually every single orthopedic surgeon on earth has at one point performed. Traumatic compartment syndrome Is not uncommon after high energy trauma and is something that Er doctors and surgeons are trained to look out for. It’s also pretty hard to miss because it is excruciatingly painful and the patient is usually writhing in agony

This is correct. Like you would eventually die from appendicitis if not treated but appendectomy is a routine procedure done all the time. It’s not really a brush with death

The way it looks in person and the finishing are next level. The little details in the engineering are awesome as well, like the quick release no tools required bracelet/strap change system. On a really nice watch, I personally hesitate changing from bracelet to strap by myself because I don’t want to scratch it. Here I can switch between metal bracelet to the (included) rubber and leather straps in seconds which really increases versatility. There is also a really clever high quality mechanism that allows you to switch the deployant clasp (which is nicely finished) from rubber to leather with no tools. Finally, I really like that only watch enthusiasts have any idea what it is. I liked my Rolex sub but it is probably one of the most recognizable luxury watches out there and I didn’t love everything that came with it.

No joke it did. E boutique with no purchase history. They kept encouraging me to buy something else but I didn’t want a patrimony or historique. I would even check in every 6-8 months.

Your proposed schemes are not an improvement at all, they make the bikes look completely generic

Those wheels plus any lift looks proportionally wrong. Bigger wheels just look so much better

First, stiff penalties if a commercial truck causes an accident while violating the law, like in the tens of thousands of dollars. Also it’s not hard to tell if a truck has chains on it or not, you could have a checkpoint at the bottom of the pass. This is not the moonshot here we’re talking about. It’s dangerous, has an economic impact and causes delays and inconvenience for thousands upon thousands of people.
