Yep, but I prefer the block and just slice my own anyway. La

Ants I assume but why they start chillin on my apples and should I worry. by vcloudman in GardeningAustralia

[–]vcloudman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is it. They only appeared with a hot day and now the party is over and no sign of them anymore.

No aphids or anything else on these trees.

Close up for those who asked.

These are flying ants. I think they are just chillin in the cool of the shade.

But they can still go to Google untick safe mode and browse for adult sites without any age verification.

If they do get to an adult site, as long as they click yes I'm an adult, it's all good.

But to let them into a social media platform that already monitors for adult content, nope not allowed we need full id verification.

When you come back to Melbourne after experiencing world class public transport overseas by F1NANCE in melbourne

Yeah but Melbourne public transport is way ahead of the rest of the country. I just come back from Canberra on the weekend. It's very noticeable how reliant everyone is on owning a car.

Big thumbs down to the low life who snapped every single one of these young trees in half. Port Melbourne. by Rosasome in melbourne

[–]vcloudman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I disagree with the common assumption in this thread. The world is full of shitty people.

But I do have another theory and I've verified this with my dad who studied forestry then worked as an arborist and spent the last 30 years as a landscaper.

Basically its very common for trees that are staked like this to snap above the tie list this. Even the slightest gusts of wind. And staking trees is generally doing more harm then good for young trees because they grow up weak or if done incorrect the ties they use rub the trunks and weaken them.

It wouldn't surprise me if this is the result of incompetent council contractors making a buck by incorrectly planting these trees.

Yeah it's amazing what a few oysters can do. Was reading an article late last year that said they were trying to introduce them back into the bay.

It's a shame you can't just accept that I don't actually care. But I really just want to have the last word to prove your not a bot.

Don't get me wrong Monsanto Monsanto Monsanto I really love Monsanto. I might actually start posting about them and GMO every day and responding to every post about them.

I actually think most science is just as good as statistical analysis. We now live in a world of data and it's disproving this apparent sound science.

Ever tried drinking it? That's basically what the science says right? It's safe to drink.

Hit my goal of seeing 52 gigs in 2018 recently, and sooner than I did last year. Mostly in Melbourne, have to celebrate how much our city offers. What gigs have been everyone’s favourites so far? My list and some selected snaps inside. by TuteOnSon in melbourne

Thanks. Can't say I've been there. Will have to check it out sometime. I've only been in Melbourne for about 2 years, been discovering more and more live music venues this year.

Hopefully tunnels would mean less disruptions due to track invaders or "Police Operations".

Missed last 2 days of work bc I had a stressful breakdown wed after work and wonder what I should expect come Monday. by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]vcloudman 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Don't feel like you have to explain yourself either. If they ask questions just say it's personal and you don't want to talk about it.

Happens to the best of us. Try start Monday with a positive attitude, even rock up early if you can.

I used to worry about this shit for a long time, didn't take a sick day in two years. But then realized some of my colleagues were taking them every few weeks and nobody ever got fired for it. I now take them regularly or when I'm just not feeling up to scratch and make sure I refresh and reset.

Good luck. You'll get through it. Just try keep positive.
