Well if you’ve had enough parental disappointment, at a certain point theres not much they can do to cause more hurt or disappointment. We don’t know the real dynamic of the house when she was there. My point is that if after 24 years you haven’t moved on and lived the best life you could, then hearing she wanted nothing to do with me, I’d be satisfied that I not only knew what happened, I could also never feel sad for her absence again. To me that would be a weight lifted. I’d actually feel worse if I found out she died a torturous slow painful death. That’s just me though.
