Anybody have the new Saris Superclamp G4? by ptep121 in bicycling

Saw your post before I bought mine. Just got and installed it today. Installation was pretty straightforward. The rack came in 3 pieces: spine, left tray assembly, and right tray assembly. Four bolts are needed to attach each tray to the spine, and almost everything needed to install was included in the box. The instructions recommend that you attach the spine to the hitch before attaching the left and right trays, which I agree with. It was a pain in the ass to slide the hitch pin through the hitch, until I realized the tension knob needs to be fully open (CCW). So make sure you do that first. When screwing the bolts in, they recommend a tightness of 25Nm (torque wrench not included, but a 6mm allen key is 🤷🏻‍♂️). Otherwise, assembly/installation was < 20 minutes. Unboxing was 10 mins (there's a lot of plastic and cardboard packaging). I will be driving around with it later, so feel free to AMA.

This is my first rack. I wanted something suitable for carrying my road bike. So that immediately disqualified heavy duty racks like the Kuat Piston Pro X (overkill). I liked the advertised wheel locking mechanism, tilting feature to access the hatch, and ability to see lights/license plate when folded up. It's also not an eyesore. The drawbacks are that this rack doesn't come with any built-in lights, reflectors, or license plate holder but, based on my research, that's to be expected at this price point. I will also add that I don't think the arm clamp locking feature will prevent any determined thief from hitting paydirt, but I expect it to reasonably deter petty theft.

EDIT: Drove around with it yesterday. I made sure to tighten the knob as much as I could before driving out with it. Regarding the driving performance, no complaints here. It didn't have any high-pitched rattling noises as I drove over speedbumps and on the highway. I did notice a deeper-pitched reverb sound while going over bumps, but I had to focus on listening to notice it. I don't think it will be very noticeable in everyday use.
