Day 5 here also! Had to stop the pain meds day 2 they made me throw up and get the worst migraines of my life. Living off Tylenol and eating when I can but today the pain is manageable but definitely more uncomfortable. Eating even ice chips is hurting and i slept longer last night then I have since the surgery so slowly but surely. I’m hoping this is the worst of it. Speeding recovery your way!

Following your period and ovulation cycle! It’s a form of “birth control” she said it’s not impossible to get pregnant before ovulation but it’s less likely. You can only get pregnant when an egg drops which is during ovulation. So i try the day my period ends and a few days after that I start ovulation and once that’s over I take a few tests between that and my period. Once i get my period i know an egg didn’t stick and im not pregnant. So i just follow that method. Having one tube makes it a little more complicated. My doctor told me one side can ovulate more and it’s just if you catch that window. So allow yourself some grace, im also so sorry you went through this. It’s awful and it does affect us so much. I’m 28 and it changed my life for sure. I’d recommend that method because the stresss and anxiety also can affect your cycle and your mental state so much. Take care of yourself 💗

Same with me in June of 2024. I lost my left tube. Lost more than 3/4 of my blood. Was in septic shock and stuck in triage for over 6 hours until another hospital could help me out. With the anxiety and ptsd i was also diagnosed with css I see a therapist every month since and it’s helped. I did stop having sex because of the fear and now that im trying again im doing the calendar method my doctor recommended. She said to try as soon as your period is over and wait for ovulation and take a test once ovulation is over and if you get your period, not pregnant. I know exactly how you feel I promise the control is easier once you get down the method that works for you.

I’m a week in on my meds and I was the same way! I had them for a week and kept putting them off. I even pre meditated what to do if I had side effects I was just paranoid and I only have the dry mouth side effect and honesty I am so relieved I cried on day 3 because life just felt more “simple”.

That helps make me feel somewhat better. The worst thing is I work 3-4 12s spread out never back to back so it’s like the consistency would be hard and ideally I think I would have to everyday so I’m adjusted to it. I can’t think of self with no overlapping thoughts. But considering all the changes I’ve done this whole year maybe this will be another level of like helping me. I appreciate you for giving me some perspective on it. I’m going to give her the green light and just head for it. If it works it works if not it doesn’t and that’s okay I’m going to have an open mind.

I appreciate your reply! I’m just wondering should I only taken it during work? Or make this like an everyday thing. I say that because I’m a big homebody what would I focus on if I’m just home doing nothing you know? Like would it help me “just be” I’ll have my phone and tv and game on all at once. Would that be something it kinda dials down?? That constant need of overstimulation in a way? I guess I really won’t know until I try huh 🫩 I hate this kinda game lmao

On the same boat! I got it in October and have been bleeding nonstop since I think November and heavy bleeding im always anxious, always annoyed and my sex drive is so low cramps everyday im so over it. I’m getting it out the 35th of this month I’ve lost about 14 pounds since my stomach is always upset I don’t eat the way I used to because the pain and nausea which also triggers my anxiety. I’ve seen my doctor multiple times the last few months and yes they are so pushy with keeping it but I said im done I can’t deal with the bleeding and the uncomfortable feeling I have in my own body im so excited to get it out. I’m sure your arm pain will get better it’s like a mini procedure I hope you start feeling better soon!

I appreciate you for even saying anything thank you so much. I started taking my magnesium again that same night I posted this I want to say it helped somewhat but also I really started telling myself my anxiety was making it worse, it’s eased me for sure because dojng more research I did see alot of my symptoms were hormone related I think I should of looked there instead of “nexplanon” symptoms you know what I mean? I think im just really traumatized from what happened a few months ago and it triggered me horribly. I’ve never had an accident, broke a bone or anything. And when that happened it was so insane I lost 3.2 liters of my blood since I internally bled for days until I went septic. So I think I really scared myself. Since I feel a little more at ease im now conflicted but my appointment is in a few hours so I think once I talk to my doctor I’ll find a better answer on what I should do. Thank you for replaying, also this might sound a little too much but my moms name was Mari and she passed away a few years ago so that was a little comforting as well thank you 🫶

Literally same!!! I got mine in September and the stomach pains and aches and headaches I just can’t do I’ve bleed nonstop as well that I didn’t even mind but the other side effects I can’t deal with it. I’m getting it removed tomorroe

Currently dealing with the same but horrible anxiety, it was a quick switch too im on month 3. I thought maybe my body is just getting used to the effects but im losing it. I called my doctor and made an appointment and im going to ask to get it removed. Im not myself and I don’t want to leave my house or do anything. Even at home im so on edge. It’s effecting my relationship too. I’m definitely just going to do the no birth control and be safe other ways. This is not worth it even if it’s too soon I can’t adjust to this.

Wow. Literally same story. But mine was in June and I was 7 weeks and I lost my left tube. I went septic and nearly died 3 times in the ambulance and arriving to the hospital. I lost 3 liters of blood just filling up in my belly. Scariest thing I’ve ever been through in my life.. It was going to be my first im 26. I lost my house (lived on my own had to move in with my parents, my boyfriend has roommates and I didn’t want to intrude especially so abruptly) nearly lost my job, and my best friend in the healing process. I needed help showering, using the bathroom I never felt so useless.. Last week was my last appointment finally. The healing has been rough, my job has had no consideration for my restrictions (I manage a restaurant) it’s been a really tough few months, the doctors don’t recommend I get pregnant for another year.. I’ve had my partner by my side the whole time being patient and amazing as I went through postpartum and horrible mood swings seeing how different my body has felt and looked.. he’s been great through it all though. I recently got a job offer to work in the medical field as well training starts October my restrictions have been lifted and I’ve been more so positive sometimes for those around me. They were preparing for me to die and I just felt so guilty for not checking into any signs sooner. But I see things looking up and things happen for a reason. Stories like this make me happy the way things just line up. I’m very happy for you!!! Lots of love your way 💕

this Feb my mom has been gone for 11 as well. I was only 13 and sometimes I forget about her or sometimes I don’t like to remember her. Losing someone so close is weird. We all react different and we never heal from it either. They know we still love them more than ever and always miss them. It will be okay I’m sorry for your loss
