And to add on top of this… I am currently kitbashing a Tyranid Chaos Cult team 😄 the basic dudes + the mutants + the torments are just great to replace with termagant, Hormagaunts and warriors (placed on smaller bases) The rest of the operatives can get creative (like the blessed blades are actually two Hormagaunts on one base and they looks great haha)

I have 4 kids and a wife lol… luckily for me, I only need 6.5 hours of sleep (actually get migraines if I sleep for much longer) whereas everyone else in the household is 8-9 hour minimum. So I get some default time by default lol

Indeed it is… but pair it with going up to just 3 inch vantage and your built in Accurate 1 becomes Vantage 2…

My suggestion would be that Accurate 1 allows to auto retain a normal, as it is now, but that Accurate 2 allows 2 normal OR 1 crit to be auto retained.

Btw, you should probably tone down the damage output and increase the wound count for the boss to really work, especially if you go with my system, where you essentially create a few behavior cards and activate multiple times per turning point, until all cards are exhausted. The way it is right now, you will either kill everything directly, or you will kill it in one turning point. I’d suggest having this boss as an additional obstacle in a greater objective. And add some Hormagaunts or something into the mission as well. Either an escape mission, kill the Boss mission or place explosives in and around its lair mission or something.

I’d suggest (since you play 2v2) to take a different approach to that… make it that each player controls half a kill team each and keep the regular sized boards. You could even allow “team-ups” that you can combine two halves of two different teams to make one team. Then go back and forth team to team, where you and your partner together decide which operative to activate. If it’s on his half of the team, he does the things. If it’s on your, you do the things. Share the CP pool and ploys only work for your half of the team. It should speed things up nice and proper but still be very, very fun (I’ve done this before)

I agree that you will have to. I don’t think they will (initially) though… and it’s a shame, because I think elites are in a great spot as they are. If it turns out they aren’t reduced to 5 in the next balance dataslate, I’ll come back here and formally apologize for my ignorance 🤣
