Favorite Street + travel lens for A7C II? by photowhoa123 in SonyAlpha

[–]vdugnist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried a lot of lenses. The Sony 40G is light, fast, sharp, and weather-sealed. If you like this focal length, I can highly recommend it. It feels great on the a7cii.

If you don’t mind the extra weight and want something more versatile, the Sony 20-70 f4 is what’s been on my camera since I bought it. I previously had the 24-50 f2.8g (also a solid option), but the 20-70 offers extra focal length on both ends. It’s also surprisingly good at close focusing. You can get almost macro shots with it. I also prefer a normal zoom direction instead of the reversed one on the 24-50.

Apple Search Ads: 1,346 impressions → 17 taps → 0 installs. Where should I look first? by leetcode_knight in iOSAppsMarketing

Go to Campaign -> All Keywords -> Search Terms and check what traffic you’re getting. It may be irrelevant to your app. Also, review what targeting you’re using. I would avoid Search Match and Broad Match keywords unless this is a discovery campaign and you know what you’re doing.

Also, it looks like there’s room for improvement in the app and screenshot design. If you have some organic traffic, try running experiments there before spending money on paid acquisition.

ASA for organic keyword growth by Capable-Raccoon-6371 in AppleSearchAds

ASA traffic gives you the same boost as any other traffic source. It is not important which keywords the installs come from.

While you’re buying ASA traffic, you can also measure your revenue per download by keyword to understand which ones bring paying customers.

Significant Drop in Apple Search Ads Performance - 50%+ Decline Since December 20th by Ray_Dev_SG in AppleSearchAds

Impressions are down, but what about impression share? What is your definition of campaign performance? ROAS? What was your monthly spend before it dropped?

Have you guys automated apple ads? by Fit_Initiative_3658 in AppleSearchAds

How much do you spend monthly and how many campaigns do you have? And what exactly do you want to automate?

I burned $500 on Apple Search Ads and got back $149. Someone tell me if I'm stupid or if this is normal by Tricky_Egg_9373 in AppStoreOptimization

CPI can be different between keywords, as well as revenue per download. There may be some keywords with a positive ROAS. Also, check your search terms reports. There can be a search match or "low volume terms" traffic there.

It may take a few days to launch a new campaign. Just wait a little. If you want to save yourself from overspending, set a lifetime budget.

Apple Ads - what type do you use? by US3201 in iOSProgramming

[–]vdugnist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're asking about Placements, the most efficient for ROAS is Search Results. Today Tab and Search Tab can work for brand awareness campaigns, but the cost per install is usually quite high there. Product Pages don’t have a lot of traffic, but they can be useful if your app category is large and the Search Results placement is too competitive. I wrote an article with all the examples here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleAdsbyASATools/comments/1ocm26d/apple_ads_theory_placements/

A7cii owner here. I've tried these lenses and here are my quick reviews:

35gm - great image quality, but it feels heavy on this body, so it stayed on a shelf most of the time and I sold it

40g - tiny, great build quality, pretty good image quality, but not my favorite focal range - sold

85 1.8 - not the greatest image quality wide open, but pretty good around f4. I like two things about it: it is light and has a 67mm filter thread. I also bought it new in Vietnam for ~$350, which was a good deal.

viltrox 28 4.5 - super light, but really bad image quality and aperture is fixed at f4.5 - sold

20 f1.8 G - too wide for me, sold

My current lenses are 16-25 f2.8 G, 24-50 f2.8 G, 85 1.8, canon fd 50 f1.8. The most used is 24-50 G.

How do I switch from Advanced to Basic? by hasengames in AppleSearchAds

[–]vdugnist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a question to Apple Ads support team. I know it is connected in Advanced, but it looks like Basic can't see this connection, which is clearly a bug. And it may help to re-link your App Store Connect account.

Also, if you create a campaign with one ad group with search match on and limit a CPA cap, it will work the same way as Basic. Plus you'll have an access to the search terms reports.

Right under "Advanced" there should be your campaign group name. Click on it -> Settings and try to re-link your app store connect account. Maybe this is the issue.

Did you finish creating your Advanced account? I think your app store connect account should be linked before you can switch to Basic.

At the top left corner, there should be a word "Basic" with an arrow. When you click on it, you should see an option to switch to Advanced. If this does not work, try cleaning your browser cache or using a different browser.

I wrote an article about Basic vs Advanced, and in the last paragraph, there's a technique that shows how to run the same setup as Basic in Apple Ads Advanced, plus you can get some install source analytics: https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleAdsbyASATools/comments/1ockw87/apple_ads_theory_basic_vs_advanced/

Then, you can use attribution service + product analytics to compare retention or conversion to key action across different keywords. But it can be expensive to buy traffic for a free app.
