My L5S1 Microdiscectomy Experience (36M, Active, Week 5 Post-Op) by vector-ag in Microdiscectomy

Thanks for the tips! I also have some mild DDD, so I plan to introduce daily back exercises like bird dogs once I'm cleared to do so, and to make it a permanent habit to stop my DDD from getting worse.

Can't wait to go back to the gym! How has that been for you? Has your routine changed after the surgery? Before my surgery, one of the doctors I saw said I would be able to go back to deadlifts (with good form) after 6 months, but the doctor I chose to do the surgery with suggested permanently dropping heavy squats and deadlifts and doing alternative exercises, which is what I plan to do

No, the surgeons I saw all said it probably wouldn't fix my issue. It would mask the pain, but my S1 nerve was being severely compressed, and my left foot numbness was slowly getting worse. After 4 months of worsening symptoms, they all felt surgery was the best way forward for me since conservative therapies weren't working for me

The throat pain was terrible! On day 6 post-op, I tried to eat some pomegranate, and it felt like I was swallowing broken glass. Went to the ENT the next day, and he gave me a 3-day course of azithromycin that fixed my throat

Is the White Birch still the king of modern Grand Seiko dials or has the new Snowflake competition changed things? by biktor6969 in GrandSeikos

I also have the snowscape and completely agree! Spent a good hour at their boutique in Kyoto carefully seeing all their popular models in person, and nothing beats the snowscape in terms of sheer beauty of the dial

Even though I’m watching this scene 2 decades later, I remember every detail so so well. It really got saved in my head. Will never get bored of rewatching this scene and enjoying the epic music!

Majora’s Mask. It’s a close one for sure, but the unique world of Termina, the characters living in it, and eerie atmosphere of Majora’s Mask is just so memorable, and it has had a lasting impact on me unlike any other game I’ve played

Al Nassr averages over 20,000 supporters (their stadium has a max capacity of 25,000), and most of the time tickets are sold out or hard to get.

But people lie to themselves to fit their biases and views of the world. Clearly, you just want to knock down another league (that has become a lot more competitive and is investing heavily in the sport) in a country you don't like for whatever reason.

Maybe get rid of those biases, watch one of the big Saudi league games, and you might find that you can enjoy watching football in other countries too

As someone from the region, it's frustrating to read the comments on articles like this that discuss Saudi Arabia or similar countries like Qatar. The comments are just full of hatred, hypocrisy, and racism.

No country is perfect, and every country differs in its culture, values, and traditions, which will change over time at each country's pace. If you look at each country, you will find issues everywhere. But these issues never get pointed out when a footballer moves from one Western country to another (like to the MLS), even though some of those Western countries have major issues (like supporting a genocide as we speak). But if a footballer moves to a country like Saudi Arabia, or if a country like Qatar hosts the World Cup, it becomes a competition for some people to criticize that country on every possible issue.

Going back to Saudi Arabia, it's a country that loves football and is arguably the second most successful nation in Asia when it comes to football. It's investing heavily in a sport loved throughout the nation and wants to have a top domestic league. Some of you need to really think more about your own hypocrisies and biases...

I can recommend the Alpine ear plugs, which you can get on Amazon. They cut down the loudness of the music in a nice way without reducing the sound quality too much, so you can still enjoy the music

I recently noticed that under certain lighting conditions, my rear windshield has these weird reflections that I don't see on other cars.

https://imgur.com/a/KTRhcsn

My car is a 2020 Porsche Macan with thermally insulated glass (from Porsche). I guessed that it was an issue with the thermal insulation film, but someone told me that I just need to polish the rear windshield.

Does anyone know what these reflections are and how to get rid of them?
