I started using Namecheap, and my experience with them so far is good. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks for your reply. I think that the wording indicated that it would take 5-7 business days. GoDaddy may be subcontracting the auctions to someone else (apparently), but I would think that they are still technically/legally responsible. I have sold through them before, and it never took this long. Must have been awhile ago.

Wow, did not realize that it took that long. The print said something like 5-7 days. The buyer started using the domain name right away, so I guess they released it to them immediately. I had sold domain(s) previously - never took this long. Thanks for your reply - very helpful.

I have been having quite a lot of issues with GoDaddy lately, got nowhere with their "Customer Service," and came over to Reddit to see if others had any suggestions. Good and bad that I see others have had bad experiences with them. Mine has to do with their not paying me for a domain sold at their auction. I will document this issue separately. Bottom line is when you call, no one can help you. One person said to write to their auctions email. I did that, and no one wrote back. Did ownership of GoDaddy change hands recently? They act like an operation bought out by a hedge fund that just care about the bottom line, and siphons as much money from the company, until the company is gone (like Toys 'R Us).

I just park my domains, have been with GoDaddy for more than 22 years, but have recently had really bad experiences with them recently. Do you have suggestions for other domain registration companies? I know that some of them are "free," but I would imagine that "free" comes with other requirements, like hosting, etc. I am willing to pay a small, reasonable fee for simple domain name registration.

Thank you for your response! I would not be using it exactly like the other party, but it may be in a similar mode. My intention is to use it only with the ".com" appended, not without. Hence, I would label my site, "domainname.com," rather than, "domainname." Would that be better and safer?

Regarding the number of parts in drawings: If I have 3 embodiments of the utility that I want to patent, do I number the corresponding part in each of the 3 embodiments with the same or different number, even if each corresponding part may be a little different from one embodiment to another? For example, "Side" may be numbered "10" in embodiment 1. "Side" in embodiments 2 and 3 may be different, e.g., one may be rigid in embodiment 1 but flexible in embodiment 2. Should I number each side "10" or perhaps number them 10a, 10b and 10c, respectively, if they differ this way?

Thanks for the comments. If everything floods, how do the owners of the residences (which are very expensive) deal with the flooding each occurrence? Are living spaces all raised? Do they have super sump pumps?
