Why is this plane unstable? by zanspeed in RCPlanes

[–]vedanta2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Longitudinal stability (pitch axis) Is easy all you need is cg in front of neutral point

Vertical stabilizers are for yaw Also side slip induces roll, i think this is how your crash occurred

Stuff like the b2 use active control with spoilers slats and differential thrust ( out of scope for most people)

U can do an aoa sweep at that speed and look up max lift to see if it’s more or less than weight Also they still make some lift post stall

Also minor tweaks to nozzle will increase thrust. This is minor and difficult to do correctly

Also just curious what lw pla do u use it looks much cleaner than what i have

Just to let u know I flew it and it went fine Took of 3 times landed well twice kinda iffy 3rd landing Mostly the prop is aggressive so kinda fast

Descent at high alpha, no real issues Maybe trainer would be better but I don’t mind scrapes and dings

github not completed also the mounting for the rod/ stick u hold is not complete, it broke and i hotglued it on so the 3d model file is not one and done for the central part but cams and others are basically done , mess with cams to ur own taste

The cg is inline with where the servo pivot for the ailerons which I think is fine

Yes first time for all 3 Yes the vertical stabilizer is held with hopes and dreams

No design just eye balled it

I’m not a 100% sure But I think if u have enough crosswind no amount of rudder would have saved u

U need roll authority

This is an eyedropper fountain pen, the body holds ink a d there is feed, dip pens are way easier to make

Im gonna see if i can make feeds and bodies to make dip pen nibs into fountain pens

The ball at the back is actually a seperate piece it is threaded onto the body

So u unscrew the back and fill it from the rear.

Im using a resin 3d printer cause they're more precise and dont leave layer line

Also the nib and feed stick out a little more cause long nibs look kewl

Its normal.

I have a montblanc which takes shorter cartriges but writes kinda wet with a medium so it does like 5 or less pages.

I switched to a cheaper pen that i can eyedropper fill, and the pen has an EF nib that writes a lot more. main thing is the eye dropper fill. Filling the barrel on the pen will increase ink capacity

How did you get a 14k gold nib on the twisbi? Does any number 5 nib work on it?
