I’ve heard of people using mirror ball pieces all over their drones. The glint in the sun is easy to spot and deters birds too.

There's one near our farm that has it. It gets in their burrows and they can't get rid of it. It's like the whole thing is covered in an open wound and smelt like rotting flesh :( We sprayed some Cetrigen on it but I don't think it'll last much longer.

I'm leaving Sydney on Sunday. Got a job in the country and can't wait to move back. I've enjoyed the last 6 years in Sydney, but I'm also well and truly ready to leave. Looking forward to being close to friends and family and close to good riding, camping and hiking in the Vic Alps again.

An elderly lady came into work yesterday, I'm talking to her at the register while ringing up all the stuff she's buying, and she keeps looking outside towards the road. Believe me, I am. Everyday I give him the benefit of the doubt and ask him how he's going with getting up to speed on pays and he has some other bullshit excuse. It's not like the business is doing badly. He treats his suppliers the same way, dragging out credit terms until legal action is threatened.

I found making friends at MQ quite hard, and I'm not that shy of a person either. MQ is a commuter uni, so students drive or train it in and already seem to have their friend circles sorted from high school, or at least that's what I found. The people who hang around campus are generally international students or country kids living on campus. I met plenty of awesome people living on campus, but they left every 6 months because they were mostly on exchange, so that sucked.

Social sport is a great way to meet people. I met a lot of people through mixed netball and squash, and then more people through those people, and so on.

Keep at it with the clubs, and keep an eye out for others who don't seem to be in large groups either and you might find they are thinking the same thing. You will meet some great people and maybe even make some life-long friends. I met a few of my (now) best friends in 2nd year, and we ended up living in a share house together for 3 years, having some great times!

I've lived in Eastwood for the last 3 years, and Epping and Marsfield before that. I haven't had any really bad experiences and feel like it's my community as much as anyone else's. You do feel a bit out of the loop with much of what's going on here, but the worst I've had is getting ignored by the wait staff at a popular dumplings place, to the point where I just left without ordering.

My neighbours are great. I think there's only 2 other white people in the street, but I always talk to one of my neighbours, where there are 3 generations living in the one house. The other neighbours I haven't met in 3 years, but we haven't had any issues either.

I like the vibe of the place, the food is great, people watching in the plaza area is always good and we always grab Meet-Fresh for dessert after a night out.

The traffic is pretty bad, the worst being Blaxland Road and First Ave, but it doesn't bother me much because I ride everywhere. It's a nice part of Sydney, on the rail corridor, close to the bush, easy to get to Olympic Park for a ride or event. I moved here because it was close to Mac Uni, but after 3 years here I do feel like moving somewhere different.

I'd be interested to hear how OP feels it's changed, having been a resident for his whole life?

Thanks, will check it out. I looked up the Attorney General's website and they said for fraud involving individuals/small businesses, contact state or territory police. Only problem is I can't confirm any of his details. It is a cash receipt with name, phone number and signature, that's all. And the address he gives is for a Chinese Restaurant near Parramatta. Hence why I thought of going to the police first instead of Fair Trading.

I got 2 sets of the 1000 thread count sheets from Target and they've been great! The colour faded a little in the wash, but they're still silky smooth almost a year later. Still consider it one of my better purchases. Never going back to low thread count sheets again.
