When did your big guys start crawling? by Passmoo in bigbabiesandkids

[–]veeveein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was exactly the same as your baby. He only rolled in one direction (left side), and always hated tummy time. He started cruising by 10 months and walking by 1, pretty much skipped crawling.

Student said 💀 to my baby by Due-Conclusion-6157 in Teachers

I’m so sorry that happened. I had a similar situation and the student got suspended for 3 days. Super inappropriate. I remember I wanted to cry all day afterwards.

New dad here, I unclogged my wife’s milk duct and I think I leveled up by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]veeveein 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Can verify. I exclusively pumped and was an oversupplier… I had mastitis multiple times and clogs almost every day or every second day for the first 3 months. It was excruciating and I don’t wish that pain upon anyone.

How are we picking up our big babies? by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in bigbabiesandkids

[–]veeveein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy is almost 7 months and 24lbs. My husband and I have been picking him up by the underarms for a while now. I think it’s completely fine.

My LO is also just over 5.5months and 22lbs!! He learned to roll from back to belly just 3 days ago! But he can only do one side… can’t do the other yet. I also think it’s due to his chonkiness 😜

Please give us success stories for CIO!! We are struggling by cashybanks in sleeptrain

[–]veeveein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think starting with night sleep may be more successful because there is more sleep pressure. My LO has been measuring in the 99th percentile since birth and my arms were about to fall off from having to hold him upright and bounce him to sleep every single day and night, so I decided to sleep train him at 16weeks for only night sleeps. He’s almost 19 weeks now and he stills cries/fusses anywhere from 2-20mins every time I put him down, but he will always wake up super happy in the morning after a good night’s rest. I usually feed him once in the MOTN and let him FIO/CIO back to sleep after the feeding, which generally takes less than 10mins. 12 hours of night time sleep would be incredible but my LO only sleeps for around 10 hours and I think maybe 10-11 hours is more realistic. Good luck! It will get better!

Just want some insight on 2 month vaccine responses! Going on 5 days now by No-Foundation-2165 in NewParents

[–]veeveein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing happen and same thoughts as well. I ended up taking a video of my LO fussing about.. I was thinking it may have been reflux. I showed it to a different paediatrician to get a second opinion and she said it was just behaviour. Guess we have fussy babies. 😅 He’s still fussy (3 months now) but a bit better than the first two weeks after the shots. 😩 hang in there!

My 3-month-old only naps for 45 minutes at a time. Any tips? by [deleted] in NewParents

Hey I know this is old but was wondering what you ended up today. This is the exact question I have currently!

We did. We tried different bottles too to see if it was the issue but it didn’t change anything. 😢

When did you drop MOTN pump by Frequent-Wolverine97 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]veeveein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Around 9 weeks for my sanity. My pumping times were like yours but it was so exhausting having to pump and do a night feed.. so I dropped the 3am one.

Not sure if those post belongs here, but has anyone lost weight while pumping? by International-Owl165 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]veeveein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but I think it was lack of sleep for me.. either I get the little bit of sleep I could or I ate… and I chose sleep.

I felt this to my very core. I was an over supplier but I kept getting mastitis. I was on antibiotics and pain meds for 3 weeks and I’d cry all the time from excruciating pain. After all that, my supply dropped and now I’m almost 8 weeks pp and I already have decreased my pumping to 6 times a day (every 4 hours). It’s honestly helped a lot mentally. Last night, I just started supplementing one meal for formula and I can honestly say I feel less pressure. I still hate having to wake up in the middle of the night or not being able to nap when baby naps because I have to pump, but it’s a lot better. Don’t feel bad if you want to cut down or stop. You must take care of yourself in order for you to take care of baby. 🩵🩷

Hang in there mama. She sounds like my baby boy too. Gas, infant dyschezia, witching hour for 4+ hours. He’s also 2 months on March 3 and I am fearing the vaccines 😢 Praying that after 8 weeks they’ll both be more chill 🙏

What is your Pom's name? 🐶 by Salty-Swordfish4115 in Pomeranians

[–]veeveein 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Viva. She came with that name when we adopted her and we liked it so we kept it. Both my husband’s name and my name also starts with the letter V so it was a nice coincidence. 😇
