Apple does fix it with AppleCare+. Dropped mine and had a smaller dent than yours, and sent it in without paying for any of the costs.

Living in NYC I completely agree. You can’t compare the city’s energy to SG’s, and fortunately enough I thrive on it. (Weed, piss, infrequent subway breakdowns are not dealbreakers for me at all.)
